Following the recent presidential election, where Donald Trump emerged victorious, actress Eva Longoria has been vocal about her concerns and the anxiety she feels for those unable to leave the United States. Longoria, who actively campaigned for Vice President Kamala Harris, has expressed her dismay over the election outcome.
In a recent interview, Longoria shared her perspective on the current state of the country. She described the U.S. as “a scary place” under Trump’s leadership, stating, “If he keeps his promises, it’s going to be a scary place.”
Longoria’s lifestyle allows her to spend time outside the U.S., dividing her time between homes in Spain and Mexico with her family. She acknowledged her fortune, saying, “I’m privileged. I get to escape and go somewhere. Most Americans aren’t so lucky. They’re going to be stuck in this dystopian country, and my anxiety and sadness is for them.”
Reflecting on Trump’s initial election in 2016, Longoria recalled her feelings of disbelief and depression. “I’ve never been depressed in my life,” she said, questioning the impact of her vote and the electoral process. Her belief that “the best person wins” was shaken, leading her to a realization: “Oh, wait. The best person doesn’t win.”
Despite the shock of Trump’s re-election, Longoria admitted she wasn’t surprised this time around. “The shocking part is not that he won,” she noted. “It’s that a convicted criminal who spews so much hate could hold the highest office.”
Longoria, who has lived in the U.S. for her “whole adult life,” reflected on the changes she has witnessed over the years. She mentioned that even before the pandemic, the atmosphere in the country was shifting. “Whether it’s the homelessness or the taxes, not that I want to s— on California — it just feels like this chapter in my life is done now,” she explained.
As the nation grapples with the implications of the election, Longoria’s sentiments echo the concerns of many who fear the direction in which the country is headed.

Stick to acting. I have never knowingly seen you and your name is not familiar. Stay in Mexico or Spain where your communist views and beliefs may be more welcome

every thing she is saying has happened under the Democrat rule and they have done nothing for this country except bring destruction like, the Afghanistan pull out by Biden and Harris, open borders by Harris which has brought thousands if not millions of illegals into this country which has resulted in so many negative things happening. this country was on a down slide under Biden and Harris

I believe that all who vacate the country due to Trump being elected president should have their passports terminated. This is so they cannot vote in following elections. This is to prevent “foreign” influence in our elections because they apparently don’t want to live in a country that lets the people decide who they want to run the country.
