Bannon accuses ‘Judas Pence’ of covering for Biden

The recent discovery of classified documents at former Vice President Mike Pence’s Indiana home has sparked a debate on its similarities and differences from the cases involving former President Donald Trump and President Joe Biden. Former Trump adviser Steve Bannon called Pence “Judas” and accused him of covering up for Biden.

Bannon linked a news story about Pence on his Gettr account post, which read, “Judas Pence attempts to provide cover for Biden.”

According to several reports, a lawyer for Pence found around a dozen classified documents during a search of his home on January 16. They notified the National Archives and Records Administration in a letter dated January 18, after which the FBI collected the documents.

Bannon, who hosts the War Room podcast, is currently facing charges of fraud regarding the “We Build the Wall” campaign, which was launched to erect a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border. He has pleaded not guilty to charges of money laundering, conspiracy, and scheming to defraud investors.

While Bannon criticized Pence, Trump defended his former vice president.

Trump wrote on Truth Social, “Mike Pence is an innocent man. He never did anything knowingly dishonest in his life. Leave him alone!!!”

Bannon also criticized South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham for his remarks about Biden’s classified documents. He shared a tweet showing footage of Graham telling reporters, “I’ve known President Biden for a long time. I’d be shocked if there’s anything sinister here.”

Bannon wrote, “Revolting—Graham is a cancer, his national security ideas are 180 degrees opposite of America First…the EXACT opposite…”

The former Trump adviser had previously slammed Pence for defending the FBI after the agency received harsh criticism for searching Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence for classified documents.

Speaking at Saint Anselm College in New Hampshire, Pence said that “calls to defund the FBI are just as wrong as calls to defund the police,” and that the GOP is “the party of law and order.”

Bannon called Pence “a disgusting coward.” He added, “Of course, we’re the party of law and order, right. But this is not what we’re talking about. We’re talking about a police state. And you don’t have the guts to stand up to it.”
