Biden Blames Media for Negative Economic Perception

Clear Facts

  • President Joe Biden attributed negative views about the economy to alternate news outlets.
  • Biden expressed concern over how Americans consume news and the impact of technological changes on information dissemination.
  • Democrats have been internally debating the economic issue, with differing opinions on its impact on election outcomes.

In a recent interview on the “Pitchfork Economics” podcast, President Joe Biden pointed fingers at alternate news outlets for shaping negative public perceptions about the economy. He expressed frustration over the election results and the dissatisfaction among Americans regarding economic conditions.

During the discussion, Biden highlighted a survey from Michigan, noting that “between 65%-67% of American people think they’re better off than they were before we got elected in the last four years.” Yet, he acknowledged that only 34% of respondents held a positive view of the economy’s direction.

Biden attributed this discrepancy to changes in the media landscape, stating, “I think that’s because the press isn’t the way it used to. They’re good people, don’t get me wrong.” He emphasized the shift in how news is consumed, particularly among younger generations, mentioning that only “5%-7% of people under the age of 25 are reading the newspaper.”

Reflecting on historical shifts in media influence, Biden drew a parallel to Richard Nixon’s televised debate with John F. Kennedy, noting how media consumption has evolved. “We pick what news we want to hear. It’s a totally different deal,” he remarked, stressing the need to address the challenges posed by technological advancements in news dissemination.

Within the Democratic Party, there has been an ongoing debate about the economy’s role in recent elections. While some Democrats warned that economic issues could be detrimental, others argued that the economy was stable and that Republican criticisms on inflation and wage growth were not resonating with voters.

As the political landscape continues to evolve, the impact of media on public perception remains a significant concern for leaders like President Biden.

It said that the Republicans used social media quite well. Then President Obasmna advised using social media as that avenue seemed best for reaching the young masses. Did the Democrats do that effectively?

Just take one look around and you will see what is going on, we are experiencing Biden’s failed economy. Gasoline $1.77 per gallon when Trump was in, our auto insurance has almost doubled since wackjob Biden took over. Mortgage rates were 2%-2.5%, what are they now?? The wife and I go to the sub shop and split a large sub and it cost $20.00. Groceries up 40% on a bunch of items. Everything is nuts thanks’ to the stinking corrupt democrat’s and the people that voted them in.

Costs have definitely risen dramatically under Biden and the Democrats live in a bubble that reality cannot burst. What Biden is really mad about is being unable to control the “alternative news” outlets as the DNC does with the mainstream media.

When you’re a corrupt senile POTUS who has millions stashed in bank accounts that came from China, Russia, and Ukraine I think you would actually believe the economy is doing pretty good.

Biden has no idea he is the one that caused the economy to be in such a decline. His policies that stopped our energy independence was a leading cause of prices for everything we as consumers purchase. His policy about an open southern border has also caused so many deaths from fentanyl and the huge influx of illegal aliens putting all states into chaos.
