WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

  • There have been reports of unauthorized Chinese “police stations” in several U.S. cities.
  • Reports linked the stations to propaganda operations or repatriation efforts by the Chinese government.
  • FBI director Christopher Wray expressed concern and said that the agency is investigating potential breaches of sovereignty.

FBI director Christopher Wray expressed concerns over reports that the Chinese government has been secretly setting up unauthorized “police stations” in U.S. cities for potential propaganda operations.

During a hearing with the Senate homeland security and governmental affairs committee, Fray stated, “I’m very concerned about this. We are aware of the existence of these stations.”

The FBI director said that the agency is investigating the issue but declined to provide details.

Wray remarked, “It is outrageous to think that the Chinese police would attempt to set up shop, you know, in New York, let’s say, without proper coordination. It violates sovereignty and circumvents standard judicial and law enforcement cooperation processes.”

When asked by Sen. Rick Scott (R-Fla.) if the stations violated U.S. law, Wray replied that the FBI has been “looking into the legal parameters.”

In September, a Europe-based human rights organization known as Safeguard Defenders reported that dozens of Chinese police “service stations” have popped up in major cities around the world, including New York.

According to the report, the stations served as an extension of Beijing’s efforts to pressure Chinese nationals or their relatives to return to China to face criminal charges. The stations were also reportedly linked to activities of a Communist party body, China’s United Front Work Department, that spread influence and propaganda.

In October, members of the House GOP, such as Reps. Greg Murphy and Mike Waltz, wrote to the DOJ to ask if the administration is investigating the stations. They argued that such stations could be used to intimidate U.S. residents of Chinese origin.

Dutch authorities have already looked into such stations in the Netherlands. But earlier this month, China’s foreign ministry said the offices were used to help Chinese citizens renew documents.

According to Wray, the US has already made several indictments linked to the Chinese government intimidating people who disagreed with Chinese leader Xi Jinping. He said that the agency is already discussing this issue with “foreign partners,” since “we’re not the only country where this has occurred.”

The Justice Department has been attempting to block China’s effort to track down criminal suspects overseas, known as “Operation Fox Hunt.”

In October, criminal charges were filed against seven Chinese nationals accused of harassing a U.S. resident and his family in a repatriation effort by the Chinese government.

You got a week to run the sperm gurglers outta, here. They have less than zero authority to do anything to anybody. They need to leave, as they are not at all allowed to interfere in any way with foreign nationals, to include getting them to return to China and submit to persecution for some drempt up political bullshit slight to China. If they are here, we’ll be DAMNED if we let them force them, and or their family members, back to China. We won’t sit back, and watch a group, force another group, or individual to unwillingly return to a tyrannical situation they risked their lives to escape. I’ll get a group of retired combat Marines, LEOs to stop any such shit from happening. I hate illegal entry more than most, but to watch a group of henchmen trying to force illegals to go with them to return to their former country , to be abused, and punished for escaping a tyrannical existence, and treated worse than before? No “F”in’ way. Turn ’em over to some fellow Deputies, Municipal, and fellow Troopers, who’ll deal with them. They’d probably say they were under Biden’s orders, be like telling ME, I was under Biden’s Orders. Biden wants to hurt me with a set of orders, he better roll them up real tight, and poke me in the fucking eye with ’em, and we’ll use ’em for toilet paper.
