Clear Facts:

  • Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene urges Capitol Police to preserve evidence from the Capitol Hill protest.
  • The protest called for a cease-fire between Israel and Hamas.
  • Greene accused Rep. Rashida Tlaib of leading the “insurrection.”

U.S. Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) has raised alarms, formally requesting the U.S. Capitol Police to retain all records, from surveillance footage to arrest reports, related to the significant protest that took place on Capitol Hill.

The demonstration, which had demonstrators pressing Congress to champion a cease-fire between Israel and Hamas, took center stage inside the Cannon House Office Building.

Organized by the Jewish groups Jewish Voice for Peace (JVP) and IfNotNow, the protest was marked by vocal chants and banners all bearing the unifying cry: “cease-fire now.”

Greene didn’t mince words when she took to X, the platform previously known as Twitter, posting her letter addressed to Capitol Police Chief John Thomas Manger.

“By launching an insurrection in the Capitol complex, these actors caused elevators to be shut down, staircases and hallways to be blocked, exits to be made inaccessible, and official legislative business to be obstructed, putting Members of Congress, their staffs and Capitol visits at risk,” she elucidated.

Emphasizing the gravity of the situation, Greene called upon the House Administration Committee to rigorously investigate the incident.

“The insurrectionists involved must be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law,” the Georgia Republican wrote, clearly expressing her view on the matter.

Beyond her call for preservation of evidence and prosecution, Greene unleashed a flurry of posts on X.

Labeling the protest “an insurrection of Capitol Hill,” she pulled no punches, directly implicating Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.) as the ringleader of the demonstration, referring to her as the “Hamas Caucus Leader.”

Tlaib, together with Rep. Cori Bush (D-Mo.), both of whom addressed the crowd, have been vocal advocates, urging the Biden administration to actively pursue an immediate cease-fire between Israel and Hamas.

While the Capitol Police haven’t released an official count of the arrested protestors, they did confirm that arrests were “ongoing.” Moreover, three of these individuals now face charges for assaulting a police officer.

JVP, on the other hand, released its own numbers, claiming a gathering of 10,000 outside the Capitol with an additional 500 inside, all unified in their demand to halt what they termed as the “Israeli and U.S. government’s genocide in Gaza.”

This protest is set against the backdrop of escalating violence involving Israel and Hamas, with recent attacks by Hamas leaving a staggering 1,300 dead and 199 reported hostages, as per claims by the Israel military.

Unless they can find a way to blame Trump for this incident, it will be quickly swept under the rug.

These protesters are delusional God hating tools of Satin. So when a terrorist comes in and kills members of their own families, they can blame themselves like they blame Israel.

I don’t remember the crowd on Jan.6th supporting our enemies.
    Marjorie is right.
I hope she gets support from the MEN —- where are their voices?
Too bad it has taken so long for Democrats to see the obvious future danger by letting in so many Palestinians and Muslims.
They have caused many problems in other countries for a very long time. The Philippines, SE Asia, even Iran where the young didn’t even know until the internet that they once had a different religion.

The majority of Dems don’t really care one way or another. As long as they can blame Pres. Trump they’re happy.

Everyone who watch Rashida Tlaib & Omar on TV saw & heard them in sighting riots on the capitol steps. So why has the Congress not called for their arrest without bail & removal from the USA congress & in the case of Omar a naturalized citizen called for the removal of Omar’s citizenship & deportation?????

I think that GI BRIDE is spot on.Unfortunately nothing will be done in regards to Talib and Omar, and that is a very sad commentary.

All good points. This “insurrection” should be prosecuted and the participants penalized at least as severely as the Jan 6th group (which was not actually an insurrection). This group opposed the US while the Jan 6th group wanted to protect the US. Justice?

Hamas is a World known TERRORIST ORGANIZATION since shortly after 9/11 America has been at War with TERRORISTS so anyone who supports Hamas is a TRAITOR and as the Law clearly states should be HANGED for their TREASON. This means not only Tlaib but everyone who has shown support for Hamas should be toundex up and HANGED. The first two to face the Gallows are Tlaib and Omar.
