Left Refuses Forgiveness for White Allies
Clear Facts
- Progressives have faced scrutiny over their reaction to Renee Good’s death, with divisions arising due to her being a white woman.
- Left-wing activists have criticized even white supporters, claiming “white privilege” complicates their advocacy.
- The left’s strategy often pits identity groups against each other, leaving white allies marginalized no matter their sacrifices.
The response from leftist activists to Renee Good’s death has highlighted deep divisions about race within their movement. Many on the left struggled to support her, citing “white privilege” as a reason for their discomfort.
One fellow white female protester admitted on camera, she felt “wrong” protesting for Good, since she herself—and Good as well—as a white woman, had “white privilege.”
“White tears are not always something that’s helpful.”
Progressives on X scolded anyone who championed Renee Good with “Say her name,” insisting that the phrase is exclusive to black women. The left has made it clear: even the ultimate sacrifice does not erase “whiteness” in their hierarchy.
This is not unique to Renee Good. Aaron Bushnell, a white Air Force serviceman who died by self-immolation at the Israeli embassy, was also dismissed and denied heroic status.
Some left-leaning analysts belittled his act, saying, “In a way, we’re all burning. All Bushnell did was show it.”
The ongoing anti-white animosity is increasingly apparent in leftwing rhetoric and policy. Observers note that if Good had been killed by an illegal immigrant, her story would have been ignored by politicians and the media to protect the prevailing “noble immigrant” narrative.
Many believe that Democratic strategy uses race to divide, creating a hierarchy with minorities at the top and white men at the bottom. White women are considered suspect, but still above white men due to gender. This system demands total alignment with the approved narrative—or else results in excommunication.
When white people try to show solidarity, they are met with skepticism, told their actions are insufficient, or accused of deep-seated racism. These attitudes became especially pronounced during the George Floyd riots and continue today. No matter how fervently white progressives protest or self-flagellate, critics say the left will not forgive or accept them as true allies.
“Race is indelible, being white a mortal sin for which no absolution is strong enough; no blood is red enough to wash it away.”
This attitude leaves the left in a precarious position, relying on the support of those they refuse to forgive or acknowledge.
