Sanders Demands RFK Jr. Step Down Amid CDC Turmoil
Clear Facts
- Sen. Bernie Sanders is calling for Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to resign after multiple senior officials left the CDC.
- CDC Director Susan Monarez was removed after refusing to implement Kennedy’s directives restricting certain vaccine approvals.
- The Trump administration supports Monarez’s removal, emphasizing alignment with its health mission.
Senator Bernie Sanders has called on Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to resign following the departure of several senior CDC officials.
CDC Director Susan Monarez was removed after declining to enforce new restrictions on vaccine availability, a move backed by the Trump administration.
Four additional senior CDC employees resigned in protest over vaccine policy changes, and hundreds of CDC staff walked out in Atlanta in solidarity.
“Endangering the health of the American people now and into the future,” Sanders accused Kennedy in an opinion piece.
He criticized Kennedy for firing Monarez for not supporting his positions on vaccines.
“Despite the overwhelming opposition of the medical community, Secretary Kennedy has continued his longstanding crusade against vaccines and his advocacy of conspiracy theories that have been rejected repeatedly by scientific experts,” Sanders argued.
Sanders highlighted that vaccines have saved millions of lives and stressed the importance of science-based policy.
Deputy HHS Secretary Jim O’Neill was named acting CDC director after Monarez’s removal.
White House spokesperson Karoline Leavitt defended the decision, saying the president has the “authority to fire those who are not aligned with his mission.”
Leavitt stated the administration plans to make the CDC more transparent and accountable to the public.
Sanders has requested an investigation into Monarez’s ouster, calling it “reckless” and “dangerous.”
He also warned that Kennedy’s leadership could hinder access to lifesaving vaccines.
“The danger here is that diseases that have been virtually wiped out because of safe and effective vaccines will resurface and cause enormous harm,” Sanders warned.
He called for President Trump to appoint leaders who will protect Americans’ health and reject controversial policies.

After the years of lying about the effectiveness of the poison they demanded to be injected in every living human being and to this day minimizing the dangers of the side effects of their shots, they are lucky that they are allowed to be fired and not taken out in handcuffs and let shackles!

I can’t think of any time when I have agreed with Bernie Sanders on anything. However, this time I stood and applauded. His anti-vaccine management focus is simply dangerous in my opinion. I grew up in the days when polio was affecting kids of my age, and I took the vaccine as soon as I was able. Likewise for many other diseases that vaccines have prevented from spreading. I am over 80 years old and am still here, and I believe that a number of vaccines have made that possible

Apparently you should have taken a vaccine for ignorance if you agree with that dildo saunders about anything!
The difference between the crap they foisted off on the general public due to covid and the polio vaccine you and I took as youngsters in the 50s, I’m 83, is as different as liberal and conservative!
I have, and always will, maintained that the whole covid hoax was an experiment in people control that far exceeded the powers that be, wildest expectations. I’m sure they were utterly shocked by the reaction of the sheeple in never questioning ANYTHING about the whole fiasco. I only wore a mask twice, and that was because of my wife having surgery and I NEVER EVER, EVER took the jab nor did I acknowledge the utterly STUPID 6 foot rule.
Oh, yeah I’m still alive as is my wife who, being a bit more tolerant than me, wore a mask occasionally when shopping.
I’m extremely curious as to what the next “crisis” will be, but I’m certain it will make covid look like a kids masquerade party, now that it is known that the majority of Americans are easily led around by the nose.

As a lifelong Republican its surprising me to find myself agreeing with Bernie Sand3rs on an issue. Kennedy being over HHS is like calling a plumber to perform heart surgery. Some of the goals sound “good” but he is damaging Medical/Science research-possibly beyond repair-given the speed of change technology has brough to data collection and analysis.
