State Spends Whopping $4M on Gender-Related Surgeries for Prisoners in Just 6 Years
Clear Facts
- California has spent over $4 million on gender-related surgeries for inmates since 2017.
- 35 male convicts received artificial vaginas and vulvas at a cost of $2.5 million.
- 11 male prisoners received breast implants at a cost of over $180,000.
California has spent more than $4 million in taxpayer dollars on gender-related surgeries for inmates around the state, including numerous death row inmates, since 2017, according to a report by the Washington Free Beacon. The report reveals that California became the first state to agree to pay for these types of operations for prisoners, with four of those criminals on death row.
Since 2017, California paid for 35 male convicts to surgically receive artificial vaginas and vulvas, costing taxpayers $2.5 million. Additionally, 11 male prisoners received breast implants, amounting to over $180,000 in expenses. The state government also paid more than $1 million for the removal of 40 female detainees’ breasts.
National Committee Chairwoman Harmeet Dhillon (R-Calif.) expressed concerns about taxpayer dollars being used for surgeries that are experimental and scientifically unjustified. However, this year alone, California prison authorities requested around $2.2 million in additional spending solely for transgender operations. The request included hiring two full-time psychiatrists, one physician, one surgeon, and two social workers.
California was the first state to require the use of taxpayer funds for transgender inmates’ surgeries in 2017. The state’s correctional administration admitted that there are no restrictions on the treatments or surgeries that prisoners can request. This law was passed following a legal settlement in 2016 with a biological male prisoner who sued the state for the “right” to be recognized as a transgender woman and receive certain treatments and procedures.
The number of transgender inmates in California has significantly increased over the years. In 2014, only 131 inmates identified as transgender, but as of November 2023, the number has risen to 1,847, with hundreds more identifying as transgender or “non-binary” and requesting various operations.
Clear Thoughts
California’s outrageous spending on gender-related surgeries for prisoners is a slap in the face to hardworking taxpayers.
The fact that over $4 million has been wasted on artificial vaginas, breast implants, and breast removals is an affront to common sense. It is unacceptable that death row inmates are among those receiving these surgeries.
The state’s lack of restrictions on prisoners’ requests is a clear example of political correctness gone mad. Taxpayer dollars should not be funding experimental and scientifically unjustified procedures.
It’s time for California to prioritize the needs of law-abiding citizens over the wants of criminals.

Let those criminals live as what they were born. I guess taxpayers are becoming the victims of grand theft by government.

Why are we paying for their surgeries. If they want it let them pay for it. Do not put it on the tax payers. That’s not what our money should be used for. We have veterans who have no place to go, no food etc. we are spending money on Illegals we do not want in America. Their mind set says what they want it to say not what they were born with. To many have decided with the surgery that they made a mistake. The do not care they did not pay for it. Well our Taxes do. Just think about it. Medicare and Medicaid are also paid by our taxes.

What a waste of money. That money could of been better spent funding the police. I hope the LGBT community lose all there support because this is getting insane now. I won’t call a man a woman and i won’t call a woman a man. I refuse to be called cis and i refuse to call people it or any other made up pronouns. Its time to make the USA better and ban SRS and opposite sex hormones. We need to put our foot down and stop worrying we will offend someone in the LGBT community. Basicly we need to grow a back bone and fight back against this bullshit.

It’s not really about the prisoners
It’s about the medical industry using the prisoners
as lab rats to learn how to do these procedures and
what complications they present.
The prisoners, taxpayer and society are all being used
by vile evil politicians, judges, medical professionals ann drug industry
