Trump Admin Dismisses Biden’s NSA Director in Latest Shakeup

Clear Facts
- The Trump administration reportedly dismissed NSA Director Timothy Haugh and his deputy, Wendy Noble, on Thursday.
- Haugh, appointed by Joe Biden, was also removed from his position as commander of U.S. Cyber Command.
- Wendy Noble has been reassigned to a position within the Pentagon.
In a significant shake-up within the National Security Agency, the Trump administration reportedly dismissed NSA Director Timothy Haugh and his civilian deputy, Wendy Noble, on Thursday. This move has stirred discussions across political and intelligence circles.
General Haugh was removed from his role as both the Director of the NSA and the Commander of U.S. Cyber Command. This decision was confirmed by former and current officials familiar with the matter.
Wendy Noble, who served alongside Haugh, has been reassigned to a role within the Pentagon’s Office of the Undersecretary of Defense for Intelligence and Security. This office oversees the NSA, among other responsibilities.
The NSA has referred inquiries to the Pentagon, which has declined to comment but promised to provide more information when available. This lack of immediate clarity has left many speculating about the motivations behind these dismissals.
The firings follow the reported removal of several National Security Council aides. Right-wing activist Laura Loomer reportedly provided President Trump with research on staffers, urging him to dismiss them. Although multiple staffers were fired shortly after, the direct connection to Loomer’s involvement remains unverified.
Loomer expressed her views on the situation, stating, “NSA Director Tim Haugh and his deputy Wendy Noble have been disloyal to President Trump. That is why they have been fired.” She emphasized that Haugh, a Biden appointee, was “HAND PICKED by General Milley,” whom President Trump had accused of treason.
General Timothy Haugh, an Air Force Lieutenant General, was appointed by former President Joe Biden to lead the NSA and Cyber Command. His tenure included spearheading efforts to counter Russian cyber threats.
The decision to remove Haugh has drawn criticism from Democratic lawmakers. Connecticut Rep. Jim Himes, the Ranking Member of the House Intelligence Committee, expressed his concerns, stating, “I am deeply disturbed by the decision to remove General Haugh as Director of the National Security Agency.”
As of now, Lieutenant General William J. Hartman is listed as the acting commander of U.S. Cyber Command and acting director of the NSA. The unfolding situation continues to be a focal point of attention as more details emerge.

Thankful that Trump learned from his first administration and is getting rid of these people who are there to destroy him and America. Pretty sure there are a few more working in the background.

The biggest mistake during Trump’s first term was all the Obama leftovers that he kept on. But he really did learn from those 4 years and has come back with vengeance in these first 100 days.

If Washington, DC and 49 states did not have “at-will” employment laws, then there would have to have been just cause before General Haugh could have been dismissed. As will most American workers, without a contract protecting them from willful dismissal on a whim, even government employees can be terminated for no reasons at all.
