President Donald Trump announced a last warning to Hamas to release all remaining hostages, warning of severe consequences if his terms are not met. Trump made clear the urgency of the situation and emphasized global support for ending the conflict.

“Everyone wants the hostages HOME. Everyone wants this War to end,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.

He added, “The Israelis have accepted my Terms. It is time for Hamas to accept as well.”

Trump further stated, “This is my last warning, there will not be another one! Thank you for your attention to this matter.”

Trump has placed blame on Hamas for delaying the return of the hostages, and called for immediate action. Last month, he insisted the captives would only be returned when Hamas is “confronted and destroyed.”

U.S. Special Envoy Steve Witkoff reported little progress in ceasefire talks, indicating Hamas was not negotiating in good faith. Negotiators from the U.S. and Israel withdrew from Qatar due to lack of results.

On Aug. 26, Witkoff told Fox News’ Bret Baier that both he and Trump expected the hostages home that week.

“There’s been a deal on the table for the last six or seven weeks that would have released 10 of the hostages out of the 20 who we think are alive,” Witkoff said.

He asserted, “Hamas is ‘100%’ to blame for the hold-up.”

Fifty hostages remain held by Hamas, with only 20 believed to be alive. Trump previously said he anticipated a “conclusive” end to the Gaza war within weeks, underscoring the necessity for Hamas to act.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stressed that only a full ceasefire which includes the hostages’ return and Israel’s conditions will be accepted. The IDF is preparing to escalate ground operations if necessary, warning civilians in Gaza City to evacuate areas near Hamas infrastructure.
