Trump’s call for ‘termination’ of Constitution draws condemnation

Former President Donald Trump called for the “termination” of U.S. rules and regulations, “even those found in the Constitution.” Trump’s post on his Truth Social platform on Saturday drew condemnation from the White House.
“Attacking the Constitution and all it stands for is anathema to the soul of our nation and should be universally condemned,” White House spokesman Andrew Bates said in a statement.
“You cannot only love America when you win,” he added.
On Saturday, Trump called for the “termination” of U.S. rules and regulations, “even those found in the Constitution.” He also claimed that tech companies and Democrats worked together to “throw the presidential election results” in 2020.
“So, with the revelation of MASSIVE & WIDESPREAD FRAUD & DECEPTION in working closely with Big Tech Companies, the DNC, & the Democrat Party, do you throw the Presidential Election Results of 2020 OUT and declare the RIGHTFUL WINNER, or do you have a NEW ELECTION?” Trump said in a post.
“A Massive Fraud of this type and magnitude allows for the termination of all rules, regulations, and articles, even those found in the Constitution. Our great ‘Founders’ did not want, and would not condone, False & Fraudulent Elections!”
Trump did not elaborate on which articles of the U.S. Constitution he took issue with in his comments.
The former president’s post came after internal Twitter emails were released to Substack writer Matt Taibbi revealing the online platform’s decision-making process over the New York Post story about President Joe Biden’s son, Hunter.
On Friday, Taibbi posted to Twitter a thread portraying the company’s actions as “extraordinary steps to suppress the story” of Hunter Biden’s laptop and claimed that Democrats had imbalanced access to Twitter tools and request that tweets and accounts be deleted.
Trump’s Truth Social post alluded to that alleged “revelation” that the Democratic party had conspired with Twitter.
On Sunday, Rep. Liz Cheney condemned Trump as “an enemy of the Constitution” after he called for terminating the document.
“Donald Trump believes we should terminate ‘all rules, regulations and articles, even those found in the Constitution’ to overturn the 2020 election. That was his view on 1/6 and remains his view today. No honest person can now deny that Trump is an enemy of the Constitution,” Cheney wrote on Twitter.

Cheney is a traitor and yes the constitution was disregarded allowing the democrats to steal the the elections. It is going on now in Arizona. Democrats have been stealing elections for a long time and will not stop until we go back to the old ways of elections where you show up at the polling places to vote with id and the excuse that people are not able to get to polling places is BS if they can make it to Walmart in even bad weather they can get to the polls to vote.

Wow. Another twisting of President words. He is frustrated that they waited until after the election to bring this out and say everything is ok. I don’t think he would want to change the constitution. Just change election rules an regulations. The founders are turning over in thier grave with the way elections are processed and covered.

Trump wants the 2020 decertified and overturned for fraud, with either just reinstating him in office and arresting fraudsters, od a national revote. However, Biden family and crimesters need to be arrested for their participation in an illegal election scam. Germany is having a nationwide reelection re an election that occurred 2 years ago because they admit to finding some fraud, though not nearly what they know was done here in 2020. Get rid of the “click bait” headline which only serves those who already are suffering from DTS and have lost their ability to think clearly. While “tickling their ears”, the vast majority of Americans who are intelligent and logical/critical thinkers will not be fooled by such shoddy reporting. Here is what President Trump actually inferred in the quote that you did post in its entirety, but was buried within the article.
By allowing such a fraudulent and clearly stolen election to stand opens the door further to allow all rules, protections and regulations as stated in our Constitution to be broken, ignored, and twisted to conform to the whims of a corrupt minority. Perhaps he might have stated it more emphatically or clearly, but those of us who can read, and interpret, know exactly what he was condemning…not the Constitution, but those who attempt to abuse it for their own benefit.
