Clear Facts
- President-elect Trump nominated Herschel Walker as the U.S. ambassador to the Commonwealth of the Bahamas and Nicole McGraw as the U.S. ambassador to Croatia.
- Herschel Walker has been recognized for his contributions to sports, military mental health awareness, and his previous role in Trump’s administration.
- Trump cautioned Senate Republicans against making deals with Democrats to expedite nominations before the end of the current Congress.
In a recent social media announcement, President-elect Donald Trump unveiled his latest selections for ambassador positions, while simultaneously cautioning Senate Republicans against any collaboration with Democrats on nomination processes.
Trump’s first nomination was Herschel Walker for the role of U.S. ambassador to the Commonwealth of the Bahamas.
Walker, who has been a loyal supporter of Trump, previously ran for the U.S. Senate in Georgia in 2022.
“I am pleased to nominate Herschel Walker as United States Ambassador to the Commonwealth of the Bahamas,” Trump stated.
The president-elect praised Walker’s extensive background as a “successful businessman, philanthropist, former Heisman Trophy winner, and NFL Great.”
Trump also highlighted Walker’s contributions during his first term, noting his service as Co-Chair of the President’s Council on Sports, Fitness, and Nutrition.
“Herschel has traveled to over 400 Military installations around the World, removing the stigma surrounding mental health,” Trump added.
He further acknowledged Walker’s participation in the 1992 Winter Olympics as part of the U.S. bobsled team.
“Congratulations Herschel! You will make Georgia, and our entire Nation, proud, because we know you will always put AMERICA FIRST!”
Following Walker’s nomination, Trump announced Nicole McGraw as his choice for U.S. ambassador to Croatia.
He described McGraw as a “philanthropist, businesswoman, and World renowned art collector.”
Trump commended McGraw’s philanthropic efforts, particularly her leadership at CANVAS Art Charities and her role in raising funds for neglected and abused children.
“Nicole has brought fine art to the People through her work leading CANVAS Art Charities, and raised Millions of Dollars for neglected and abused children as a Board Member of Place of Hope,” Trump wrote.
He also noted her academic background, stating, “She is a graduate of Southern Methodist University with a BFA in Art History and Studio Art. Congratulations Nicole!”
In a concluding remark, Trump issued a stern warning to Senate Republicans, advising them against making any deals with Democrats to expedite nominations this month.
“To all Senate Republicans: NO DEAL WITH DEMOCRATS TO FAST TRACK NOMINATIONS AT THE END OF THIS CONGRESS,” Trump asserted.
He emphasized his electoral victory, stating, “I won the biggest mandate in 129 years. I will make my appointments of Very Qualified People in January when I am sworn in.”

Sounds like Trump is sticking his “business” Cronies in key slots and surrounding himself with “yes” men and women. Our democracy only goes downhill while Trump is in the White House! God help us, please!
