“At least two employees at nearby business Grade A Auto Parts are unaccounted for,” Beshear added, calling the incident “catastrophic.”
According to the FAA, the accident occurred during takeoff and sent debris scattering across the tarmac.
Emergency sirens could be heard as authorities rushed to control the fire and secure the area.
Both the FAA and NTSB are investigating the cause of the crash.
Authorities immediately ordered residents in the area to shelter in place.
