One of the standout offerings is Walmart’s “inflation-free Thanksgiving meal,” priced at under $7 per person. This meal includes a variety of holiday favorites such as turkey, trimmings, and desserts.

“Walmart’s Thanksgiving meal is jam-packed with all its customers’ holiday favorites, everything from turkey (at an amazing value of $.88/lb.) and trimmings to desserts,” the company explained in a press release.

This affordable meal plan serves eight people and is available for purchase both in-store and online. Additionally, Walmart offers the option to donate a meal to someone in need.

In another move to save customers time, Walmart is rolling out a nationwide same-day pharmacy delivery service. This service allows customers to receive prescriptions and other store items directly at their doorstep.

Currently available in six states, the service is expected to reach 49 states by January 2025.

“Walmart’s extensive existing footprint across the U.S. enables delivery to more than 86% of households,” the company noted in a press release.

Furthermore, Walmart is expanding its pet services. The company has a pilot Pet Services center in Dallas, Georgia, offering a range of services including veterinary care and grooming.

Walmart plans to open additional centers in Georgia and Arizona. For those not near these locations, Walmart’s partnership with Pawp provides an alternative.

“This new online pet care service will give Walmart+ members free, 24/7 access to Pawp’s team of veterinary professionals with unlimited $0 visits via text or video,” Walmart said.

These strategic changes by Walmart aim to provide convenience and cost savings, making holiday preparations a little less stressful for its customers.
