Washington State Dems Propose Erasing George Washington’s Image from Flag

Democrat lawmakers in Washington state have initiated a campaign to remove the image of George Washington from the state flag. This image, which originates from the state seal, has been a part of the flag since its official adoption on March 5, 1923. The state seal itself was designed in 1889 when Washington achieved statehood.
Washington is unique as it is the only state named after a U.S. president. However, State Representatives Strom Peterson, Julia Reed, and Greg Nance have introduced House Bill 1938, which argues that George Washington, while a significant national figure, has “limited historical connection to the state itself.”
If House Bill 1938 is enacted, the Washington State Flag Redesign Committee will work toward adopting a new design by July 1, 2028. This new design will ultimately be presented to voters for approval in a general election, ensuring that any changes reflect the will of Washington’s citizens.
A local blogger, who is expected to testify in favor of the flag change, criticized the current flag design in a blog post. He described Washington’s flag as “uninspired” and noted that it was not the result of a “broad public process.” He further stated, “While the name honors a national figure, its origins reflect a moment when the voices of the people living in the region were overlooked.”
The debate over the flag is part of a broader conversation about historical symbols and their relevance to contemporary values and identities. As the discussion continues, Washingtonians will have the opportunity to weigh in on whether the state flag should remain as is or undergo a transformation.

What will the new flag look like if the demonazzi’s get their way ? Probably a rainbow background. In the center a red star with 2 crossed Marijuana branches. I used to visit Washington on vacations in the 1990’s before the LA lunatic fringe migrated north and turned the entire Seattle area into a massive sewer. Just like they have done to Portland, Denver and everywhere else they have brought their social cancer.

I spent two years in Washington State when I was in the Air Force. I also watched in horror when Washington and Oregon turned “woke”, tried to get rid of law enforcement and catered to the Black Liberqtion movement, allowed druggies and squatters to takle over their city and the list goes on and on. Seems to me that instead of worrying about one peresons objection to their flag their time would be better spent fixing their democratic government by getting rid of leftist radicals, making law enforcement strong and listening to their sane voters instead of fringe elements of society.

Some day enough of the liberal idiocy then maybe can elect people that are so liberal fixated plus they all think very citizen is their private ATM machine. I spent 40 years in the state and loved it until they let the homeless and drug issues and there is NO SUCH THING AS AFFORDABLE HOUSING THERE. PLUS YOUR FUEL PRICING SHOULD NOT HAVE TO CONTEND AS THE HIGHEST IN THE NTION. They can’t even keep the low life’s that have to steal copper wiring or doing damage to people’s property! As for a Governor “whose” claim was I once drove a Bulldozer for his dad!!! As they wonder why, like California hy people are leaving!!
