5 Democrat legislators who fled Texas contract COVID-19 [Video]

- At least five Texas Democratic legislators who fled to Washington tested positive for COVID-19.
- The lawmakers traveled to the country’s capital in a bid to halt the passage of a GOP-led election bill that would restrict voting processes.
- Gov. Greg Abbott (R) has threatened to arrest the lawmakers once they come back to Texas.
The number of Texas Democrat lawmakers who have tested positive for COVID-19 has climbed up to five, according to the state House Democratic Caucus on Sunday. The delegates came to Washington last week as they seek to halt the passage of GOP-backed election bills in their state.
The first three cases were reported on Saturday, while the other two were confirmed on Sunday during the Democratic caucus.
In a statement on Sunday, State Rep Trey Martinez Fischer said that he tested positive via rapid antigen test. He initially tested negative on Friday, but come Saturday, he experienced “extremely mild symptoms.”
For the first three cases, only Rep. Celia Israel came out and identified herself as among those who got the virus. On the other hand, Fischer also came forward and confessed that he got infected. All of them have been fully vaccinated.
The caucus noted that it would conduct daily rapid tests among its members and their staff who have fled to Washington.
“All of the HDC Members who tested positive are feeling good, with no symptoms or only mild symptoms,” the caucus said.
“When my Texas House Democratic colleagues and I broke quorum to stop anti-voter legislation, we knew that tactic would come with real personal sacrifice,” Fischer said in Sunday’s statement, citing their move to fly to Washington in a bid to stop the approval of the proposed voting legislation.
Republicans are pushing a bill that would include additional identification for mail voting, restrict early voting options, establish crimes against breaking of election codes, and promote partisan poll watching.
Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) has warned to arrest the Democrat legislators upon their return to the state.

IF 5 PEOPLE CAME DOWN WITH COVID-19…..THEY WILL HAVE TO QUARANTINE….AS WILL THE REST OF THEIR GROUP THAT WERE ALL WITH THEM ON THE PLANE AND IN WASHINGTON?????????? “OR”!!!! THIS RULE FROM CDC, IS FOR “THEE” AND “NOT ME”!!!!!

Matt – ‘maybe’ – but they have it pretty good while being wined and dined and hobnobbing with the hoity-toity crowd. And they are still getting paid and drawing their perdiem to boot. ‘good’ work if you can get it I guess. Most of us have more class than to use such tactics.
BTW – I have yet to hear anything substantive regarding their ‘racism’ and ‘voter suppression’ shtick.

TOO BAD! SO SAD! (Covid COULDN’T HAPPEN TO MORE DESERVING PEOPLE) I WONDER IF THE DEMS ARE PAYING FOR THEIR VACATION? Sooner or later, they will have to return. Then legislation will pass, anyway!

The Texas Demonrats are devil inspired, just like any other demonrats! They don’t care about the welfare of the common people. In fact ID’s are used in anything that you do here like boarding the plane, getting welfare checks, getting welfare goods, and in almost every activity under the sun! Why would demonrats be against it for election integrity when election results determine the future of the whole country? Election integrity bill in each state is mandated by God because God favors righteousness! He will punish those who are violating His will!
