DeSantis: Mar-a-Lago raid shows FBI going ‘totally off the rails’ [Video]

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis condemned the FBI for raiding former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate, accusing federal law enforcement agencies of being “weaponized” for political gain.
DeSantis made the statements during Sunday’s rally with Arizona gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake.
The Florida governor remarked, “These agencies have now been weaponized to be used against people that the government doesn’t like. And you look at the raid at Mar-a-Lago.” He said that the raid was further proof that the FBI has gone “totally off the rails.”
DeSantis pointed out several other political candidates who he believes got a pass, suggesting that the FBI had political motives. He argued that while the agency did not look into Hillary Clinton’s server, it promoted the “false conspiracy theory” of Trump’s collusion with Russia.
The governor also suggested that the agency was interfering with school board meetings, referring to a Virginia mom’s claim in October that the FBI staked out a school board meeting. DeSantis said that the agency was “sicced on parents going to school board meetings.”
He questioned the absence of the FBI when “protecting our conservative justices,” even when there is “a law that protects Supreme Court justices.”
DeSantis accused the agency of “enforcing the law based on who they like and who they don’t like.”
“That’s not a republic,” he continued. “Well, maybe that’s a banana republic.”
The governor called for Congress to rein in the agency, especially if Republicans are set on taking back control of both houses.
Meanwhile, other lawmakers, including some Republicans, are waiting to see whether the FBI’s raid of Trump’s Florida estate has merit.

the fbi has been involved in the kidnapping of the michigan gov. whitmer case as in trying to make it happen. It is determined that they were invovled in J6 too. and in trying to make it happen. They were acting like political agitators. I read that they tried to hire some from a group called oath keepers and some refused to help in this plot. Ray \Epps was said to be one that complied. One that refused to help was arrested by the FBI. I guess they had to keep his mouth shut. There is great suspicion as to how much they had to do with Parkland school and most likely Texas school recently. I suspect they might have been more involved in Vegas than in cleaning it up. or investigating it.

Actually, NO. The FBI had charged Hitlery with about 8-10 accounts of breaking the law with her illegal server, with all her thousands of CLASSIFIED emails, in her basement for FOUR years………also illegally deleted 30,000 of them. She also destroyed possibly hundreds of State Department Blackberries with hammers. The FBI, on national tv, read each account, but they refused to charge her and instead aquitted her of all criminal behavior, which was NOT their juristiction AND NOBODY SAID BOO acout it!!! Well, she IS a democrat. President Trump, on the other hand, is a Republican…….big difference in the D.C. state of affiars (fascist democrat ‘double standard’). I can’t wait for NOV., Payback is a Beech!!!!

The left;s actions not only demonstrate weaponizing and overreach in gov. for Trump’s raid on MA Lago. It is seen in all their plans and agenda. they are weaponizing the IRS and giving them ak15’s for what? Not to play tiddly winks with for sure.
