DeSantis vows Florida will allow people to carry guns without permit

- The bill would most likely allow Floridians to carry permitless firearms.
- “I’m pretty confident that I will be able to sign ‘constitutional carry’ into law,” DeSantis said.
Gov. Ron DeSantis vowed Friday to make Florida a “constitutional carry” jurisdiction where people can carry guns without a permit.
Bill supporters state that the Second Amendment guarantees the right to own a firearm without the need for additional documentation or permit approvals.
About 50 percent of U.S. states have “constitutional carry” laws in some form. States like Alabama, Georgia, Indiana and Ohio joined those ranks this year.
“I’m pretty confident that I will be able to sign ‘constitutional carry’ into law,” Gov. DeSantis said at a press conference.
The Republican governor made his promise while targeting Nikki Fried — a Democrat who is one of his strongest political rivals. Fried, the state’s commissioner of Agriculture and Consumer Services, is running for governor against DeSantis.
“You have a situation where the official in charge of these permits doesn’t support Second Amendment rights,” DeSantis said without naming his Fried. “So why would you want to subcontract out your constitutional rights to a public official that rejects the very existence of those rights?”

DeSantis vowed that “the Legislature will get it done.”
“I can’t tell you if it’s going to be next week, six months, but I can tell you that before I am done as governor, we will have a signature on that bill,” the governor added.
Fried responded to DeSantis’ comments, saying that Florida should not be loosening its gun-control measures.
“This is absurd political pandering from the governor of a state that has experienced some of the worst mass shootings in our country’s history and in a nation where we have the highest rates of gun violence in the world,” Fried said in a statement.
On Friday, Fried suspended licenses for seven Florida gun owners who took part in the Jan. 6 protests at the US Capitol.
“This is in addition to the 28 license suspensions announced last year by the Commissioner and FDACS related to the insurrection,” her office said in a statement.

Pandering, she says? How is honoring the Constitution and specifically the 2nd Amendment pandeing? It is because of tyrannical idiots like her we need Constitutional Carry Laws!! Florida has the most mass shootings? Apparently she hasn’t looked at Chicago. There is much truth to the saying, “An armed society is a polite society.” Not only that, but the vast majority of mass shootings occur in jurisdictions with restrictive firearm laws. Fried should be barred from politics or any government office because of her communistic views and behavior.

There should be concealed carry nationwide,but,do the dense oc RATS fear the real AMERICANS are intent on shutting the liberals down, they just might be concerned about the PATRIOTIC AMERICANS taking AMERICA back,well with firearms or not,the real AMERICANS will take our country back.

The only permit you need to bear arms is one you do not have to buy or carry on your person.
It is called the US Constitution.

Bolshevik Fried, should take her head out of her rear, and stop with the propaganda and disinformation. There was no insurrection. No one indicted, or charged for Jan. 06th has been convicted of an insurrection. If Bolshevik Fried wants an insurrection, she can be accommodated, just try taking the guns away from law abiding citizens. As a Vietnam Vet. and an American Jew, I trust a Jewish politician about as far as I can throw them, which isn’t too far. Fried is in the same basket of deplorables, as Bolsheviks Bloomberg, Schiff, Nadler, Zuckerberg, Schumer, Soros, Weiner, Kinzinger, and the list goes on and on. 75% of the American Jewish Community voted for Obama not once but twice for a president that loathed and hated Israel. I certainly didn’t vote for Obama. They like to talk out of both sides of their mouth when it comes to Israel. In reality they could care less about Israel. They live in the U.S. What they care about is party. Party first. Specifically the liberal commie Democrat Party. At least 60% of the American Jewish Jewish Community will vote for the mentally incompetent, Lying Corrupt Quid Pro KING Joe the 2nd time around.
