Officials say the migrant surge is draining police resources

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

  • Local law enforcement in US.-Mexico border towns is calling for a change in policy to curb the migrant surge.
  • Illegal crossings are not only putting the migrants and those in the area at risk but it’s also draining police resources.
  • Since not all illegal border crossings are detected on camera, there are almost a million known ‘got-aways’ since 2021.

A group of migrants was seen hiding in the brush by the Texas Department of Public Safety on an early Sunday morning. These migrants swam across the Rio Grande to get to the U.S. border.

These people making this trip are putting their lives at risk, Lieutenant Chris Olivarez with Texas DPS said.

“The number of deaths that have taken place because of this crisis and the amount of immigrants that have lost their lives, is a record number that we have never seen before” Lt. Olivarez said.

A second group of migrants was detected by a camera and later apprehended. Lt. Olivarez said they cannot even determine how many migrants are coming across.

“It’s kind of hard to put a number on it because there’s so many people that are coming across. And, there are those individuals that come across that don’t set off any cameras” Lt. Olivarez said.

The official said not all illegal border crossings are detected on camera. These people are referred to as “got-aways,” or migrants crossing illegally, who agents were not able to catch.

“Last fiscal year there [were] almost 400,000 got-aways for fiscal year ’21. Fiscal year ’22, over 600,000. That’s almost a million known got-aways,” Lt. Olivarez said.

Local law enforcement said the migrant surge is heavily affecting border towns, like Hidalgo County. Lst week, Sheriff Eddie Guerra said his office rescued 84 migrants being transported to a “stash house” in a tractor-trailer.

“As the sheriff, we have to respond to those bodies that are reported on our side. It really ties up a lot of the resources” Sheriff Guerra said.

The sheriff says a change in policy is needed to have more secure borders.

“We all agree that there needs to be a pathway of citizenship for these people that are trying to come into the U.S. And make a better life for themselves,” Sheriff Guerra said.

Illegal crossings are also making criminal organizations profit more than ever from desperate migrants who pay them for assistance.

Did’ja ever wonder why Congress, Texas and Arizona caved the next 68 years to the ranchers and farmers …after President Eisenhower ran all the illegal aliens out in Operation Wetback? ……..Bribes perhaps?? Ya, that was it.

How Eisenhower solved illegal border crossings from Mexico

    WASHINGTON
George W. Bush isn’t the first Republican president to face a full-blown immigration crisis on the US-Mexican border.

Fifty-three years ago, when newly elected Dwight Eisenhower moved into the White House, America’s southern frontier was as porous as a spaghetti sieve. As many as 3 million illegal migrants had walked and waded northward over a period of several years for jobs in California, Arizona, Texas, and points beyond.

President Eisenhower cut off this illegal traffic. He did it quickly and decisively with only 1,075 United States Border Patrol agents – less than one-tenth of today’s force. The operation is still highly praised among veterans of the Border Patrol.

Yes! Border crossings by illegal aliens, foreign terrorists and drug cartels will continue,
    …………………………………………..IF YOU LET THEM IN!

Xidens and Obama’s past immigration E.O.’s are NOT law and can be ignored. The FED’s, TSA, DHS, US Marshall’s, Border Patrol and ICE, have been following ILLEGAL E.O.’s for over 13 years instead of enforcing “”existing”” immigration laws.

Arizona/Texas citizens continue to suffer the deadly consequences.

The Fed’s are cowards and traitors protecting their pensions instead of doing their sworn job and Congress lets it happen!

Arizona/Texas. Forget the lawsuits. That will take years.

Arizona/Texas Rangers, Police and their National Guards must kick all the Feds out, take over and seal the border!

That is better than changing diapers and getting shot at!
