Clear Facts

  • Lt. Col. Tulsi Gabbard is facing opposition from Democrats, including Sen. Mark Kelly, in her confirmation process as America’s top intelligence chief.
  • Gabbard defended her past statements about the Obama administration’s support for terrorist groups in Syria, citing programs like Timber Sycamore.
  • Gabbard emphasized the importance of transparency, stating that Americans deserve to know about the government’s support for groups like Al-Qaeda.

In the ongoing struggle for her confirmation as the nation’s top intelligence chief, Lt. Col. Tulsi Gabbard has found herself at the center of a political storm. While some within the GOP may have reservations about her nomination, it is the Democrats who are leading the charge against her, painting her as a sympathizer of adversarial forces.

Democratic Senator Mark Kelly recently attempted to challenge Gabbard by accusing her of echoing “Russian talking points” regarding the Obama administration’s support for Islamic terrorists in Syria.

“When Russia was denying [former Syrian President Bashar al-Assad’s] use of chemical weapons, they accused the U.S. of supporting terrorists,” Kelly stated, drawing a parallel between Gabbard’s comments and Russian narratives.

Gabbard, however, was prepared to counter these accusations with a historical perspective, explaining why her previous remarks were both factual and significant.

“In 2016, you said, ‘The U.S. is providing direct and indirect support to terrorist groups in order to overthrow the Syrian government,'” Kelly reminded Gabbard, referencing her past statements.

Gabbard did not shy away from her assertions. She highlighted that the U.S. government had been “violating this law for years by quietly supporting allies, partners, individuals, and groups” associated with terrorist organizations like Al-Qaeda and ISIS in their efforts to topple the Syrian regime.

Senator Kelly pressed further, questioning Gabbard’s intentions and whether she considered the motives of Iran and Russia in making such claims. Gabbard responded by recalling her military service, which began as a response to Al-Qaeda’s attack on 9/11. She expressed her dismay upon learning that the Obama administration was “working with, arming, and equipping Al-Qaeda in an effort to overthrow that regime.”

Gabbard cited the CIA’s Timber Sycamore program and the Pentagon’s Syrian Train and Equip Program as evidence of the Obama administration’s actions. These initiatives, she noted, were designed to facilitate the fall of Assad’s regime by arming and training so-called rebels, some of whom were linked to terrorist groups.

“Every American deserves to know that people in our own government were providing support to our sworn enemy Al-Qaeda,” Gabbard asserted, underscoring the gravity of the situation.

She further criticized the regime change strategy, pointing out that similar efforts in other countries had led to the rise of Islamist extremists. Gabbard emphasized that the fall of Assad could result in a similar outcome in Syria.

Despite the challenges she faces, Gabbard remains steadfast in her commitment to transparency and accountability. In response to Kelly’s attempts to label her as a purveyor of foreign propaganda, she delivered a powerful rebuttal, insisting on the public’s right to know the truth about the government’s actions.

Lt col Gabbard is sharp, prepared and outwits the majority of Dem Senators o the committee. The Dem committee members are there to conduct a confirmation hearing. Rather, its turned into a confrontation hearing by the Dems.

There are least half a dozen of them who aren’t qualified to be there from their outwardly demonstration of stupidity.

Namely: Senators from-Virginia, NH, Masto, Warren, Lujan, and lastly, senator from Hawaii.

If they DONT confirm Lt. Col. Gabbard they are denying the American people the best person for this job! We need true patriots who are not afraid of speaking out on the wrongs, the absolute idiocy of some actions committed by our elected leaders and government. I mean really how smart is it to provide money and training to a group that despises the US for any reason?? Did they really think they could change the directives against us if we hand them money and train them in combat?? One thing about these terrorists organization, they are totally dedicated to their own cause and will not waiver in their goal for any amount of money. And the free training of their radical members only empowers them more when they come after us!

Even the recent overthrow of Assad should be concerning because of the AlQueda affiliation of the group, with the aid of Turkey, that managed to overthrow him.

Our Islamo-Nazi-in-chief, the Obamination, may he suffer a protracted and agonizing death, never met a terrorist he didn’t love and support. From the hundreds of billions of dollars he gave Iran, much of it in cash and gold, to his crime against humanity ‘deal’ with Iran, to his love of the Muslim Brotherhood, the granddaddy of all terrorist entities, which has trained nearly every terrorist ‘leader’ on earth, to his thrusting terrorists into security positions, waiving security on such ‘people.’ The list of his crimes and fawning over all jihadists has been well proven. The man is a Nazi jihadist to the core, and the most effective evil this country has ever produced.
