McCarthy: Schiff, Swalwell, Omar to be booted from House panels

- House Speaker Kevin McCarthy will fulfill his promise to remove three high-profile Democrats from their committees.
- Reps. Adam Schiff and Eric Swalwell will be removed from Intelligence while Rep. Ilhan Omar will be out of Foreign Affairs.
- McCarthy has previously questioned the Democrats for their choice of committee appointees.
Newly elected House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) said he will fulfill his promise to boot three Democrats from their respective committees. California Reps. Adam Schiff and Eric Swalwell will be removed from the House Intelligence Committee while Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar will be out of the House Foreign Affairs Committee.
McCarthy has been calling for the lawmakers’ removal from their committees for the past few years.
Last January, McCarthy accused the Democrats of “picking and choosing who could be on committee” using a “new standard” they created. He vowed that he would remove them once the Republicans win back the House majority in the 2022 midterms. He reminded everyone of that vow following November’s results.
McCarthy said that Swalwell shouldn’t be allowed on “Intel or Homeland Security.” He argued that if Swalwell “cannot get a security clearance” in the private and public sectors, “Why would we ever give him a security clearance in the secrets to America?”
He cited 2020 reports that a suspected Chinese spy had infiltrated Swalwell’s campaign and gotten close to him.
He added that Schiff should not be on Intel either because he “lied to the American public time and again.” Schiff led the first impeachment of former President Donald Trump and was also part of the Jan. 6 House panel investigating the Capitol riot.
Omar has been known as part of the progressive “Squad” with Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.). McCarthy called out Omar’s anti-Semitic remarks.
Speaking at the Republican Jewish Coalition’s 2022 leadership meeting last November, he said that he will keep his promise to remove Omar from Foreign Affairs.
The removal seemed to be payback for the ouster of Reps. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) and Paul Gosar (R-Ariz.) from their committees during the last Congress.

How great that America now has McCarthy. The only person who’s been selling us out to China and Russia is Dementia Joe Biden with the help of his son, Hunter. Investigating the wrongdoing of the Democrats for the past few years is imperative in order to bring those varmints involved to justice, and to make them think twice before doing their wrongdoing at a later date!

Plain old democrats, is not enough. Our country is in huge huge debt. Let’s get them where it hurts, their pocket book. Let them live on our wages the rest of their lives and use their money to pay off the national debt and build the wall. Then and only then will they understand, maybe?.
