President Trump addressed a crowd in Iowa, spotlighting his economic record and a new investment from John Deere in the country.

The former president announced John Deere would build an excavator factory in North Carolina, moving some manufacturing from Japan, and a new distribution center in Indiana to boost domestic production.

Trump underscored his administration’s rollbacks of certain Environmental Protection Agency rules to ease burdens on farming, including cutting water restrictions and modifying Diesel Exhaust Fluid standards.

“I terminated the so-called Diesel Exhaust Fluid requirement, saving family farmers more than $1 billion a year,” said Trump.

He touted reductions to electric vehicle mandates and reinforced support for ethanol subsidies to help rural communities.

Two service workers joined Trump on stage as he promoted tax changes, vowing to eliminate taxes on tips and celebrate refunds to working Americans.

“Thanks to our tax cuts, millions of Americans will soon receive record-setting tax refunds—an average of more than $1,000. Think of that. $1,000 compared to last year.”

He also touched on foreign policy initiatives and efforts to strengthen border security, referencing ongoing immigration debates and recent events in Minnesota.

“They have to show that they can love our country, not hate our country. They have to show that they’re not going to blow up our shopping centers,” said Trump when discussing immigration.

The president criticized Democratic Rep. Ilhan Omar, stating, “They have to show that they can love our country. They have to be proud — not like Ilhan Omar.”
