WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

  • A group of election officials proclaimed that the Nov.3 presidential election is the most secure in America’s history.
  • The experts acknowledge that while there are complaints from President Trump’s camp, these are just typical issues that won’t really affect the result.
  • Chris Krebs, director of Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, published the group’s statement via Twitter, and he consistently assured Americans that their votes are secured.

An alliance composed of state and federal officials announced Thursday that no evidence was found showing that votes were changed or tampered with in the Nov. 3 presidential election. The statement also junks unproven claims of the extensive scheme alleged by President Donald Trump and his camp.

The joint statement by industry and government figures who managed balloting cybersecurity proclaimed the recent election as the safest and most reliable in America’s history. The report directly responded to Trump’s attempt to weaken the voting system’s veracity, and the same was also resonated frequently by other election experts and officials of the state following the election day.

The statement also recognizes that while there are several unfounded claims and fake information about the elections, the group assures the public that the process’s integrity and security were tight. The officials added that only the election officers could be trusted when it comes to the ballot issues.

Chris Krebs, director or Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency posted the statement through his Twitter. Earlier, Reuter said it would run a story about Krebs, who allegedly told his acquaintances he is likely to be sacked by Trump. Krebs has frequently announced on Twitter that the election is secure, and all votes will be tallied, adding that Americans should be confident.

The group also added they had found no proof that any polling system had scrubbed or misplaced votes, altered, or compromised. They also wrote that the election officials are now conducting a thorough checking of all the ballots nationwide.

The move contradicts Trump’s unsubstantiated claims of election scheme and prevalent problems that can affect the votes’ outcome.

The concerns Trump’s camp and its supporters have claimed are usual in all elections, such as issues with signatures, privacy envelopes and stamps on mail-in ballots, and the risk for an insignificant number of votes missing. Since Joe Biden was leading by large portions of votes in key voting zones, those issues can never change election results.

Trump also file lawsuits complaining their camp was not given a chance to review the voting process. The court has junked several of those legal challenges due to improbable cause.

The authors of the statement include the presidents of the National Association of Secretaries of State, who manages statewide election scope, the National Association of State Election Directors, and the ballot equipment vendors composed of government and industry member councils.
