In a bold move, Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has taken aim at a formidable figure from the Trump administration: Tom Homan, the former border czar. During a live-streamed event titled “Know Your Rights With ICE,” Ocasio-Cortez provided guidance to illegal immigrants on how to deal with ICE raids at their homes or workplaces. Her government website also offers tips for avoiding federal authorities, such as advising individuals that “You do not have to open the door,” “You can ask them to leave,” and “You can stay silent.”
Tom Homan, who has overseen ICE raids across the nation, did not take kindly to Ocasio-Cortez’s actions. He expressed his concerns about the potential legal implications of her advice.
Homan responded, “I sent an email today to the Deputy Attorney General, at what level is that impediment? Is that impediment? I’m not an attorney, I’m not a prosecutor.” He continued, questioning whether her actions were “impeding our law enforcement efforts” and pondering the consequences she might face.
As expected, Ocasio-Cortez didn’t hold back in her response. She took to social media to mock Homan’s remarks.
“‘MaYbe shE’s goiNg to be in TroUble nOw’” Maybe he can learn to read. The Constitution would be a good place to start,” she posted, clearly unfazed by the potential repercussions.
While Ocasio-Cortez’s actions may resonate with her supporters, her penchant for provocation could lead to unintended consequences. Picking a fight with a seasoned official like Homan might not be the wisest choice for someone in her position. Yet, it seems that the allure of attention and controversy is too tempting for her to resist.

She is an absolute disgrace as an American! She truly does not care about the American people- only the criminals so she can continues to load her bank account. There needs to be laws made and put in place to reprimand the media, and all people that write opinions as facts! Lies are not misinformation – they are lies. Misinformation implies a mistake and not strategically intended, which they are. They want to deceive people. So if it is in a news format – page- or platform they should be made to reference it back to the original with proof. Otherwise they need to label it as an opinionated blog.

She is NOT smart. She is a trouble maker that likes chaos. And it is not the immigration that is the problem- it is the illegal part! The criminal part – the part that takes away from all the American citizens that have fought and bled and sweat their lives to build this country. And for her to dismiss that- slander that, and call it justice is an absolute absurdity. Our money and benefits do NOT belong to those who have not earned them!! She fights for those who steal from us daily! That in no way is smart!

I think she wants to go against a dictatorship that is forcing people out of their homes whether they be their legally or not.
