WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

  • John FettermanĀ opened up about the personal meaning behind some of his tattoos after Tucker Carlson claimed they are just a “costume.”
  • The Fox News Host took shots at the U.S. Senate candidate’s tattoos earlier this month.
  • Fetterman responded by saying, “They are reminders of the people we have lost and what I am fighting for.”

Pennsylvania’s lieutenant governor and U.S. Senate candidateĀ John FettermanĀ is opening up about the personal meaning behind some of his tattoos, following Fox News host Tucker Carlson’s claims that the ink is nothing more than a “costume.”

Carlson snidely blasted Fettermanā€™s tattoos as ā€œfakeā€ and portrayed the lieutenant governor as weak on crime in hisĀ opening monologueĀ early this month.

ā€œAll your stupid little fake tattoos, itā€™s a costume, of course. Duh, itā€™s not real,ā€ smirked Carlson.

The tattoos Carlson mocked, Fetterman pointed out in anĀ op-edĀ published by NBC News on Sunday, mark days on which people died in violent crimes while he was mayor of Braddock, Pennsylvania.

ā€œTucker Carlson wants to talk about my tattoos. So letā€™s talk about them,ā€ wrote Fetterman. ā€œGun violence and violent crime might be jokes to someone like Carlson, but they are very real to people in towns like Braddock.ā€

“I have nine dates tattooed on my right forearm. The first one that I tattooed on my arm is ‘01.16.06. That’s the date on whichĀ Christopher Williams was shot dead while delivering pizzas,” Fetterman wrote. “This was a man about my age at the time. He had a 12-year-old daughter. I just couldn’t get over the fact that he was never going home to her.”

There’s also the date when 23-month-old Nyia Page, who was sexually assaulted by her father, was left to die in the snow.

The tattoos are ā€œnot some ā€˜costume.ā€™ They are reminders of the people we have lost and what I am fighting for,ā€ he wrote.

The stories of the people ā€œwhose lives we tragically lost still are with me every single day ā€” not just on my arm but in every decision I make as an elected official,ā€ The Democrat wrote. ā€œThey remind me of why I am here and why Iā€™m doing this.ā€

Fetterman, who’s been leading in pollsĀ ahead of the midterms, is going against Trump-endorsed GOP candidate Mehmet Oz.

Fetterman cares so much about the victims of crime that he did all he could to incrase crime while the mayor and later as a state official. He wants to release violent criminals and eliminate bail requirements to show his “concern.” Sort of like how the Night stalker Ramirez showed his concern for women by visiting them and releasing them from this life.

Anyone who could vote for this loon must be a gender studies major/groomer/Biden voter.

It never ceases to amaze me, since I was a kid. Americans get fooled with images not reality. we “wish” all would be OK. this fetterman says nothing about solving issues just I will fight (never mentions for what as a sane policy) releasing criminals without though simple to empty the jails is not a good idea. but he has a following… thus the wishful thinking of apparently most americans (just look at biden and cast) we used to be a country of values now we are jus a thirld world country with money. when joe and his brethren run out of our money they will leave their offices and enjoy what they have stolen…

While fettermanā€™s tattoos have special meaning to him, they are NOT the issue. It is his politics, what he would do as a senator, what bills would he vote for, how he would represent the people of Pennsylvania is the issue. Everyone gets bogged down about mundane things, while important issues fall by the wayside. Listen to WHAT the person says, his campaign platform, then choose accordingly. We need good, strong constitutional senators in office who will follow the constitution, the law, and work to improve our country, not destroy it! Apparently, that is not what he is about at all. Wanting to empty the jails and prisons of bad people is NOT the idea of good governance. They are incarcerated for a reason, and should fulfill their sentences, not be released to re offend.

And this America is the important stuff on which we should focus whenever choosing our representatives.
