WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

  • Kanye West said former President Donald Trump screamed at him during a “Mar-a-Lago debrief.”
  • The rapper, now known as Ye, said Trump told him he would lose if he ran for president in 2024.
  • Ye also said Trump was “perturbed” when he asked the former president to be his running mate in 2024.

Kanye West, now known as Ye, said he asked former President Trump to be his running mate in 2024.

In a video posted to Twitter Thursday evening, Ye said he mentioned a campaign during a recent meeting with Trump at his Mar-a-Lago property in Florida, also tweeting a series of “Ye 24” graphics.

“I think the thing that Trump was most perturbed about, me asking him to be my vice president,” Ye said in the Twitter video. “I think that was like lower on the list of things that caught him off-guard.”

Ye went on to say Trump screamed at him during the meeting about a run.

“When Trump started basically screaming at me at the table telling me I was going to lose — I mean has that ever worked for anyone in history,” Ye said in the video. “I’m like hold on, hold on, hold on, Trump, you’re talking to Ye.”

The rap mogul made a long-shot bid for the White House in 2020, but has been a past supporter of Trump, meeting with him in the Oval Office in 2018.

One day after the 2020 presidential election, the rapper tweeted a photo of him in front of a state map of the U.S. with the caption, “KANYE 2024.”

In a September interview with ABC, Ye indicated to Linsey Davis that he has future political aspirations.

In his newest series of videos, Ye said he believed Trump should have freed Jan. 6, 2021, prisoners when he “had the chance.”

Trump has called the treatment of the Jan. 6 prisoners “very unfair” and in September called into a rally just outside the D.C. Jail held to support them.

Prosecutors have charged hundreds of defendants in connection with the attack, including more than 275 individuals charged with assaulting or impeding law enforcement.

I think “YE” was mistaken about being screamed at. He probably took the loud laughing fit as “being yelled at” or it could have been the ” OMG,OMG, OMG!!! THAT WAS A GOOD ONE…….YE! HAHAHAHAHA, when Trump was able to regain some composure.

The position of Vice President is that of being able to take over if necessary of Top One. It should not be “arm candy” , so get real Ye.

I think there are a couple of things here that need straightening out: Ye says Trump should have released the Jan 6 prisoners when he had the chance – he never had the chance because he has made it clear if he becomes president again, the Jan 6 prisoners will be released & the military that was fired due to not taking the vax will be reinstated with pay.

As for Trump screaming at Ye – it was probably because (1) he is running for President so the idea of being VP to Ye is ridiculous and (2) Ye brought someone with him to Trump’s Mar-a-Lago for dinner who Trump doesn’t like and is concerned will have an affect on him running for President. I don’t understand Ye thinking he could bring whomever he wanted to Mar-a-Lago without asking Trump first – very rude and inconsiderate.

It was a political hit job on Trump to bring unannounced visitors to the white house. And Kanye, or Ye, or whatever he wants to be called this week should pull his head out of his ass. Asking Trump, who already announced his run for POTUS, to be his VP is an insult. And doubly so because anyone running against Trump will pull however many votes for Trump away from him that they can. If Ye believes in Trump and MAGA he should apologize to Trump as well as the general public for his egotistical insult and go back to taking his meds and sit the fuck down.

Maybe he should try governor of any blue state first so we can see how it’s handled and then try a shot at it.

Good one. But maybe trying for mayor of any blue municipality would be a better indicator, as well as doing less damage. The man has always been clueless and self-centered.

There seems to be a lot of procrastination going around. The Atlantic would have to freeze over, I would have to be able to walk across the Atlantic from America to the U.K. before Kanye West ever saw the W/H, and no Trump isn’t going to be the VP of Kanye. Trump should realize he is known by the company he keeps, and it will reflect in the vote. With all the hoopla on anti-semitic Kanye West, It’s not like Trump found out yesterday that West is anti semitic. Trump had no business entertaining Kanye at Mar-A-Lago.
