Lindsey Graham says Trump could be ‘in trouble’ in 2024 if it’s a ‘personality contest’

Sen. Lindsey Graham said former President Donald Trump would be a strong contender in the 2024 presidential election if he could only curb his personality.
In an interview with CNBC, the senator said he believes Trump “could be” the best person to represent the Republican Party in 2024.
“Whether you like Trump or not he was a consequential president,” Graham said. “I think a strong American president — unpredictable — is a good thing as long as you keep it within the boundaries.”
“His problem is personal, his policies have stood the test of time but has he worn the American people out in terms of his personality? Time will tell,” Graham continued. “But I’ll say this, after the Biden presidency, if there’s a policy debate in 2024, I like his chances. If it’s a personality contest, he’ll be in trouble.”
Trump has teased a presidential run but he has not yet announced a 2024 bid.
But the former president has said countless times in rallies that he expects to win in 2024 and vowed that he’d be the president again.
Trump’s popularity among conservatives has not waned and could be used to help him win if he should run in the next presidential election.
“With the support of everyone in this room, we will take back the House, we will take back the Senate and we will take back our country, and then most importantly in 2024, we are going to take back our beautiful White House,” he said during an American Freedom Tour in March in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
During the interview, Graham defended his comments earlier this week on Fox News, predicting “riots in the streets” should Trump be indicted over the classified documents found in the Mar-a-Lago FBI search. The senator said he was merely trying to “state the obvious.”
Graham also mentioned in the interview that while Trump “genuinely believes” he was “cheated” in the 2020 election, the senator stands by President Joe Biden’s legitimacy.
Graham said he told Trump not to change his beliefs but “I’m trying to tell you that you have no chance of winning in 2020 but you have a pretty good chance of winning in 2024 if you want to.”

Looks like they might be getting close to Graham and he’s joining the ones that have enough common sense than to allow Ding-Don get him kicked up with him. There are alot of people that are jumping off of the Trump Dingy for the same reason… I guess they think he’s as pathetic as he sounds by crying about how his beautiful house was torn through by the FBI and how they had the nerve not to put it back together exactly like they found it and how they looked all over his house with no regard to who was there…

Yep, President Trump IS his own worst enemy, BUT, I did not hire him as a preacher! I hired him to do a job and to put America FIRST! He accomplished MORE in 4 years, than the prior 4-5 Presidents did in all their years combined. Trump did it with congress & the senate fighting him most of the way!
We need term limits in Washington, as well as NO full tenure when you’re out! Live off social security & your investments, they’ve all stolen enough to live out their lives.

Of all the commenter, only 2 seem upset about Trump’s personality, and one of them said they liked his policies. But it’s part of what makes him what he is, able to do what he does. He is a tough person who can also show softness and compassion, empathy. Promises made, promises kept is fitting to define a part of him. He is NOT a slick, greasy politician who MAY usegentle words TO YOUR FACE, thank God. Graham is more like that. Romney, Newsome, Pelosi, Hillary, so many.. .. Can’t trust them as soon as you turn your back. Ask Romney’s dog when he tied it on the car roof during a long trip; didn’t want to move his legs a few inches. These people might say things in a way you like when you face them, but like Biden saying “stupid son of a b****” as someone walks away. None of these people accomplish much unless it’s for themselves. Trump gets things done, at high speed, especially if not wasting time fighting back and defending himself, his family and staff, against the Russian hoax, another hoax and misinformation day after day. I have t assume they didn’t want anything he accomplishes, like the border, energy independence, Abraham Accords, Right to try, Covid Warp Speed and supplies, so much help for minorites, women, Vets, replenished Strategic Oil Reserves Obamsa and Biden depleted, respect for military, police, firefighters. You know how much he did; it could fill a book. And he did it all while constantly being attacked and lied about, as was his family. Never a let up from attack because they wanted to destroy him, still do, because he was making changes, making it better, and not tolerating nonsense.
International leaders may have liked him or may not have, but overall they respected him. N Korean leader Kim liked him, Putin and Xi controlled themselves more, Queen Elizabeth liked him, even calling him “cheeky” Iike she did her husband. The President of Mexico liked dealing with him, Etc. They respected him and knew he would be upfront and honest, would work hard to accomplish things AND EXPECT NO LESS FROM THEM.
Would you prefer not to trust someone, or someone has a hard or bad day and kneels and screams in a melt down or a President who hides in his basement or sniffs little girls’ necks or keeps checking his watch while Gold Star families and he watch caskets coming off the plane, killed because that President did such a screw up.
I’ll take a true LEADER like Trump any day. Growing up he worked along side men digging holes, learning plumbing, electricity, cement work, all aspects of building, and later dealt with the Boardroom and officials here and abroad. He danced with the Saudis, stayed hard line in negotiations but fair. He listened to others, comfortable in changing his opinion if they had good ideas.
He worked his heart out for America, all Americans, trying to make it better. Declined a salary, but had to spend a fortune of his money defending himself CONSTANTLY. Be glad every other word wasn’t swearing and or him hiding in a basement. Most would have. And he has a right to defend himself and his family, as we all do. How would Sa***** and Ke*** and whomever handle it? Smiling and taking the slurs and slander and kicks and lawsuits 365 days a year, EVEN AFTER YOU ARE OUT OF OFFICE? I don’t think you would or COULD. I wouldn’t respect you if your did. And if you think Biden is nice, you’re delusional.

Trump came down that gold escalator all excited and wanting to make a difference for America. Melania had told him it was time, that America needed him. He agreed. The MSM and the Dems and Deep State started the attacks and hoaxes even during campaign and never let up. All he wanted to do was work and make America better, prosperous, safe for all and cultivating good worldwide partnerships to help the WORLD. He DID NOT CHOSE TO FIGHT, HE CHOSE TO HELP AMERICA BECAUSE THAT’S WHAT HE CARES ABOUT. If the MSM and the Dems and Deep Staters had NEVER ATTACKED, he would have been delighted and just kept working 18-20 hours on WHAT WAS IMPORTANT, not wasting time like they wanted to.

Despite all the abuse heaped on Trump, he did a great job for America, Some people did not like his way of verbalizing the politic but if they look a little closer to his running the country, they will see that he was good for America. If the Democrats would just turn their efforts towards America First instead of their own personal agendas, then this country could be GREAT once again……..
