“We had over 100,000 people walk into the polls in 2024, vote for Donald Trump, and turn around and leave, didn’t vote for any other Republican,” Rogers said.

Republican Mike Rogers, who lost narrowly to a Democrat in 2024, enters this race with early and strong support from President Trump.

Rogers is now focused on the general election after securing his party’s primary and is seeking to close the fundraising gap that hurt his last campaign.

“Having President Trump’s endorsement early, having the Senate leadership support early, having our ground game organized early, all of that has made a tremendous difference,” Rogers stated.

Rogers believes the state is ready for “change,” emphasizing his background and policy plans to boost the economy and help prospective homeowners.

He proposed expanding 529 savings to allow for first-time home down payments and deferring student loan payments during home saving periods.

“The Democrats will find everything to be against. They don’t stand for much of anything for how to fix a problem,” Rogers commented.

He accused the Biden administration’s EV mandates of nearly crippling major American car companies, echoing similar concerns voiced by automakers.

“Democrats have had years to do this damage. The Republicans and Donald Trump have had about a year to undo as much of that as possible,” Rogers noted.

The Democratic primary remains unsettled, with three main candidates vying for the nomination and no one emerging as a clear leader so far.

Polling shows Mallory McMorrow leading the Democratic pack, though nearly 40% of voters remain undecided as the race builds momentum.

With energized Republican backing and a divided Democratic field, Michigan’s open Senate race signals a pivotal contest for control of the chamber.
