WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

  • Chaos erupted almost immediately after the Philadelphia Eagles lost the Super Bowl to the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday.
  • Heartbroken Eagles fans started moving in a large crowd to City Hall and clashed with police.
  • Cops deployed smoke bombs and used tear gas to disperse the crowds and deter any further riots.

Chaos broke loose in Philadelphia City last night after the Eagles lost 38-35 to the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LVII. Frustrated Eagles fans took to the streets and swarmed City Hall, shouting “F–k the Chiefs.”

When it comes to sporting events, Philly fans have been notorious for taking the streets with cops having to grease light poles in an attempt to prevent the fans from climbing them. Back in 2018, fans climbed street poles while celebrating the Eagles’ win in the Super Bowl.

Police issued several warnings last night as some unruly fans wearing green shirts were caught igniting fireworks on the ground, climbing greased poles and city infrastructure. and jumping onto bus shelters, according to a Fox News report.

Before the game even started, scenes in Philadelphia were chaotic with rowdy fans caught flipping a car.

Videos posted on social media show some fans egging on armed SWAT teams, some lighting fireworks and being thrown at officers. Police had to deploy smoke bombs and use tear gas to disperse the crowds and deter any further riots.

Police in riot gear lined the street to appease the situation and protect infrastructures as the raucous fans started to get out of hand.

Eagles fans were outraged after a costly second-quarter fumble and a late-game penalty handed to the Eagles, allowing the Chiefs to kick a game-winning field goal with only eight seconds left. Add to that, fans are still frustrated over the loss of their baseball team, the Philadelphia Phillies, that crashed out of the World Series just a few months ago.

Those frustrations may have fueled the riots. Police scanner audio suggests there have been multiple arrests.

Though Eagles QB Jalen Hurts played the game of his life, it was Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes who took home the Super Bowl LVII MVP award.

“He’s the MVP. That’s all that needs to be said. MVP. And you saw it tonight,” Chiefs coach Andy Reid said of Mahomes.

Makes perfect sense to me. The residents of a state that elect a man to the senate, that is physically and at least partially, mentally incapable of representing them properly, continue to show their high level of intelligence.

Don’t forget this is the same state that magically found 80,000 votes for Slow Joe.

How could you utter something so “Unconscionable”. Statements like yours reveal, how low, how desperate, how vile, how selfish and mean human beings can be to other human beings. Yet: You hold yourself as wise, smart and a person of intelligence. Indeed! we have truly found the enemy…….

Maybe they should call Fetterman at his hospital even though he just got out. He won’t know the diff between Phili and PA as both start with a “P”. He will save the day. Didn’t he say “pay all the rioters to not riot?” Now that he agreed to pay all the reparations’ to all non whites, maybe he could devote sometime to politics.

The police for using tear gas to clear the expressway during the George Floyd riot

Philly is a city of trash. Use the Mayor Richard Daley fix on it.
