Text messages reveal Marjorie Taylor Greene asks Mark Meadows about “Marshall law” [Video]

- Text messages revealed she urged Mark Meadows to tell Trump that several GOP lawmakers were pushing him to impose “Marshall law” “to save our Republic.”
- Greene is in court to testify as part of a legal bid to disqualify her from running for a second term in Congress.
Newly-released text messages revealed that Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene urged former White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows to tell then-President Donald Trump about the possibility of invoking martial law after the January 6 attack.
“In our private chat with only Members, several are saying the only way to save our Republic is for Trump to call for Marshall law [sic],” Greene texted Meadows, apparently misspelling Martial law.
The text message was sent on Jan. 17, 2021, 11 days after the U.S. Capitol insurrection.
On Monday, CNN revealed that Greene’s text messages were part of the 2,319 text messages that Meadows selectively handed over to the Jan. 6 select committee in late 2021.
“I don’t know on those things,” Greene told Meadows in the text message. “I just wanted you to tell him. They stole this election. We all know. They will destroy our country next. Please tell him to declassify as much as possible so we can go after Biden and anyone else!”
Greene publicly testified under oath on Friday regarding the events surrounding the Jan.6 attack. The Georgia congresswoman repeatedly said, “I don’t recall” when asked specifically about martial law and whether or not she discussed the idea with Meadows to keep Trump in power.
Michael Flynn, Trump’s former national security adviser, was one of the first to suggest martial law.
Trump denied reports he was considering martial law. In December 2020, the former president tweeted: “Martial law = Fake News.”
CNN published a trove of messages which includes texts Meadows exchanged with other members of Congress, with Trump’s family, with MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell, and with various reporters.
“Mark I was just told there is an active shooter on the first floor of the Capitol Please tell the President to calm people This isn’t the way to solve anything,” Greene texted Meadows on Jan. 6, 2021.
“Mark: he needs to stop this, now. Can I do anything to help?” then-Rep. Mick Mulvaney texted Meadows.
“They have breached the Capitol,” texted Rep. Barry Loudermilk, to which Meadows replied, “POTUS is engaging.”
“Thanks. This doesn’t help our cause,” Loudermilk replied.

Well… perhaps he SHOULD have. As she stated, we know the election was stolen. I don’t see how suggesting that could hurt her because it would have been a move to protect the Republic. Besides, if true, it was a suggestion. We don’t live in DPRK or Russia where speech is censored. Oh wait…

Even if she DID suggest martial law, it’s a legitimate, Constitutionally-sanctioned action. It’s not like she told told Meadows to round up the Democrats and throw them in Gitmo. And, the person asking if she suggested martial law in order for Trump to ‘remain in power’ is very suggestive also. She wanted Trump to stop the proceedings to have time to find the fraud evidence, and get it known before the Dominion machines and crooked, criminal Democrats seated the LOSER, instead of the REAL WINNER…which is exactly what they did.

Turns out she was right and martial law should have been called. Not doing it has pretty well destroyed the country. Just like what has happened in the DOJ . We now have a department of truth run by a left wing -nut.
