Clear Facts

  • Les Wexner testified before the House Oversight Committee in Ohio about his ties to Jeffrey Epstein.
  • Wexner claimed all interactions with Epstein were strictly professional and denied involvement in Epstein’s crimes.
  • He asserted he never witnessed inappropriate conduct by Epstein or Ghislaine Maxwell and that federal agencies never contacted him.

Billionaire businessman Les Wexner answered questions from the House Oversight Committee about his connections with Jeffrey Epstein. Wexner is the head of L Brands, parent company of Victoria’s Secret, and reportedly played a part in Epstein’s financial rise.

Wexner told the committee he had been deceived by Epstein, calling him an Olympic-level con artist.

“There would be no Epstein island, there would be no Epstein plane, Epstein would not be the wealthy man he was without the support of Les Wexner.”

He firmly denied that Epstein or Ghislaine Maxwell ever introduced him to anyone for sexual purposes or provided personal favors. Wexner maintained that all interactions focused on business, not friendship or social activity.

He claimed he never saw Epstein behave inappropriately with women when he was present. Wexner added that Maxwell had no role in his business affairs.

Wexner said he never had a close personal relationship with Epstein and did not view him as a friend. He testified he did not witness or hear about any prominent figures being introduced to women by Epstein or Maxwell.

He responded to Oversight Ranking Minority Leader Robert Garcia by denying any sexual relationship with Epstein.

Wexner testified that, to his knowledge, Epstein had no links to intelligence agencies and that he only visited Epstein’s Palm Beach home once. He did not recall seeing President Donald Trump or other notable individuals there.

The billionaire said that during his visits to Epstein’s island and New Mexico ranch, he never encountered any young women or alleged victims, including Maria Farmer.

He met Trump only at Victoria’s Secret events and never saw any social interaction involving Epstein and Trump. Wexner said he never discussed Trump with Epstein or vice versa and did not regard them as friends.

Wexner said the FBI and Department of Justice had never contacted him regarding Epstein.

    Two takeaways:
    1. “Wexner said the FBI and Department of Justice had never contacted him regarding Epstein.” How is that even possible?? Wexner is all over the Epstein files; and the FBI regarded Wexner as a potential co-conspirator with Epstein and Maxwell!
    2. NO Republicans attended this Committee hearing. Has the party gotten bored with investigating this child predator ring? (Bet they’ll show up for the Clintons’ upcoming testimony.)
