Kevin McCarthy disagrees with Marjorie Taylor Greene over Ashli Babbitt’s death

- House Speaker Kevin McCarthy disagrees with Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene on Thursday when asked about the death of Ashli Babbitt.
- Greene said Babbitt was murdered by Capitol police during the Jan. 6, 2021, riot.
- McCarthy said “the police officer did his job” to which former President Trump disagreed.
House Speaker Kevin McCarthy disagrees with Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene regarding the death of Ashli Babbitt, who was shot and killed by Capitol police during the Jan. 6, 2021, attack.
On Thursday, Greene said in an interview that Babbitt “was an innocent unarmed woman” who was “indeed murdered” according to the video she has seen.
A Capitol Police officer, Lt. Michael Byrd, shot Babbitt while she was climbing through a broken window at the entrance to the Speaker’s Lobby. She later died at a hospital.
Greene even compared Babbitt’s death to the killing of Tyre Nichols by police officers in Memphis, Tennessee last month. All five officers involved have been charged with murder while the officer who shot Babbitt was cleared of wrongdoing by an internal US Capitol Police investigation.
“I think the police officer did his job,” McCarthy said Thursday when asked whether Babbitt was murdered.
According to Capitol Police, the officer’s action potentially saved the lives of lawmakers and staff at the hands of the rioters.
McCarthy gained Greene’s loyalty ahead of the House speaker election. She became his biggest supporter and helped him win the gavel. McCarthy rewarded her with a coveted assignment on the House Oversight Committee.
Greene has promised to push the committee to “look into those civil rights abuses” of Jan. 6 rioters.
James Comer (R-Ky.), the chairman of the House Oversight Committee, refused to say whether he agreed with Greene.
Meanwhile, former President Donald Trump said in a Truth Social post on Thursday night that he disagreed with the House Speaker telling a reporter that Byrd “did his job.”
He wrote, “he shot and killed Great Patriot Ashli Babbitt at point blank range” and called Byrd a “coward.” He agreed with Green by writing that Babbitt was murdered.

No blood pool on the floor after she is moved 8 inches.
Fake blood only appears after a man presses her neck and it is very, very, small when she is lifted.

Babbitt, if really dead, was k!lled or died later.

The Capitol Policemen led the crowd to the Capitol. The Policeman that shot Ashli Babbitt did not have to shoot her. It wasn’t necessary. She was defenseless! She opposed no threat to him!
It’s not the first time that aCapitol
Policeman has shot and killed a woman that that was no threat. Several years ago they shot a young woman that was lost and on the road by the Capitol and couldn’t find her way out. Why didn’t they just shoot her tires. The only thing the Capitol Policeman know how to do is shoot and kill !
They are never held accountable!

What was his rason for shooting her. She had no weapon, was not threating anyone, probably had no intention of harming anyone, was protesting. Violent protesters, hurting people and destroying property were not shot when they were protesting, even when they were armed. Where is he? Living in some high cost hotel at taxpayers expense? probably.
