The operation started around 7 a.m. with agents arriving in Penske trucks, causing people to scatter from the parking lot.
DHS stated that the MS-13 gang controls the area, which was a key factor for the location of this high-profile action.
No further details about those detained have been released yet.
The raid happened near a previous operation site where Mayor Karen Bass confronted agents.
“They need to leave, and they need to leave right now. They need to leave because this is unacceptable!”
Last month, protests erupted at similar raids, with reports of vandalism and attacks on federal vehicles.

The overwhelming majority of people arrested in these ICE raids have NO criminal record whatever. Many are citizens.LA has no “crime emergency”, and local enforcement remains fully capable of policing the city without uninvited federal troops or agents. No wonder poll after poll now show Trump well underwater on his signature issue of immigration.
And at a time when Obamacare insurance subsidies are being cut,” effective Jan. 1, how much are these raids costing the American taxpayer? So far, in the tens of billions of dollars.
