The president explained he has been personally involved in overseeing the restoration during what little spare time his demanding schedule allows.

Trump praised the Department of the Interior and contractors working on the project, calling their efforts “fantastic.”

“The exterior ‘skin’ of the Building was practically falling off! It is now in better shape than when built in 1792. Such an Honor to have the privilege of saving this Great Structure!” Trump wrote.

The president emphasized the urgency of the work, warning that further delay would have resulted in irreparable damage to America’s most iconic residence. According to Trump, more time without proper renovation would have “destroyed our beloved White House.”

The comprehensive restoration effort extends beyond basic maintenance. Structural improvements include fortifying the North Portico entrance and addressing critical deterioration throughout the 232-year-old building.

Aesthetic enhancements have also been implemented, with gold ornamentation added to the Oval Office and Cabinet Room, reflecting traditional American grandeur. The historic Rose Garden has undergone updates, and the East Wing is being demolished to accommodate a planned 90,000-square-foot ballroom for state functions.

The Trump administration’s commitment to preserving and enhancing America’s historic landmarks extends throughout Washington. Recent projects include renovating the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool, with the president sharing progress photos showing the work ahead of schedule.
