WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

  • Former Vice President Mike Pence urged former President Donald Trump to apologize for dining with antisemitic white nationalist Nick Fuentes.
  • Pence said that he doesn’t believe that the former president is antisemitic, so he should denounce his guests’ rhetoric.
  • Trump previously stated that he had never met Fuentes before he “showed up” with controversial rapper Ye.

Former President Donald Trump came under fire for last week’s dinner with rapper Kanye West, who now goes by Ye, and an antisemitic white nationalist. Former Vice President Mike Pence said that he doesn’t believe that the former president is antisemitic, but called on Trump to apologize for the association.

Trump had hosted Ye, who brought far-right activist Nick Fuentes, at his Mar-a-Lago estate last week.

Multiple brand sponsors, including Adidas, recently dropped Ye for his antisemitic statements, while Fuentes has been known to make antisemitic and white nationalist remarks on his online platform.

Speaking at NewsNation’s “On Balance” on Monday, Pence noted that antisemitism remains “a very real issue in the world today.”

Pence told host Leland Vittert, “President Trump was wrong to give a white nationalist, an antisemite, and a Holocaust denier, a seat at the table and I think he should apologize for it.”

He clarified that he doesn’t believe Trump is an antisemite, a racist, or a bigot, saying, “I would not have been his vice president if he was.” So he advised his former boss to denounce his guests’ “hateful rhetoric without qualification.”

Last week, Trump issued a series of statements saying that he had never met Fuentes before he “showed up” with Ye. He added that the rapper did not make any antisemitic remarks in his presence.

Pence had been loyal to Trump during his four years in office but has become critical of his former boss after the 2020 election.

Despite the recent criticism, Pence said that he stands by his decision to serve under Trump’s administration and that he took pride in their accomplishments. He said, “He (Trump) was the right man at the right time to take on that Clinton machine.”

However, he thinks that voters “will have better choices for 2024.”

He explained, “What I’ve heard again and again from people is they want to get back to the policies of the Trump-Pence years, but they want leadership that at least has the chance of uniting our country around our highest ideals.”

There have been speculations about whether Pence will be running for the presidency, but he said he still hasn’t decided on launching a campaign in 2024.

Over the past year, Pence showed support for Republican candidates across the country, making several stops in early primary states such as Iowa, New Hampshire, and South Carolina.

Every time that a person speaks to somebody of a questionable çaracture are they expected to apologize what if this conversation was to try to change the questionable person attitude. With all of the fake apologies being handed out ,I find it hard to believe these constantly apologetic people actually care at all.

Ummm, Isnt Trump the person that Avknowledged Israels right to determine their own capital? Did he not position the embassy their upon the request that was theirs? Did he not “visit” their most important sites?
Has it not been the left saying Israel must give up lands? Some I agree with (others have been theirs a long time)?.

Seems a bit convenient fot that guy to show up at a large party! I think some need to sniff harder and smell the Donkey Dung!

Interesting request coming from Pence. I have a hunch he may be the one apologizing after the SCOTUS Docket #22-380 is voted on and advances to a hearing.

I for one believe Pence is a turncoat who needs to apologize to President TRUMP. For the way he turned from him after the election. When it was clear that it was stolen. And still was.!!?

Don’t apologize to the cancel culture. They will still hate regardless. Pence is a dangerous politician who will kiss anyone’s behind to look like a swell guy.

Anti-Semitic? Trump? Doesn’t he have a Jewish son-in-law? And he moved the capital of Israel to Jerusalem out of concern for its rightful placement.
Pence knows that his candidacy would pull votes away from Trump. That’s his only goal, i.e., revenge.

Certainly his most pleasant attribute is his holier-than-thou attitude.

Pence’s daughter was married in one of the most popular LGBTQ towns in the country. So throwing stones at Trump’s associations with an anti-Semite seems to be a rather strange contradiction.

“Let him who is without sin cast the first stone.”

Self-righteous Pence consorted with baby killing, lying, thieving Democrats in the senate.

Pence should just thank God that President Trump gave him a chance to redeem himself
from obscurity. But Pence was too mediocre to take advantage of his opportunity to do
    something great for American taxpayers.
