Clear Facts

The Department of Veterans Affairs reports consistent backlog below 100,000. Reducing it remains urgent priority for Secretary Doug Collins.
Lowest point in Trump’s first term hit 64,783 claims December 2019. Backlog defines claims pending over 125 days.
“Under President Trump, VA is providing Veterans, families, caregivers and survivors all of the benefits they have earned as quickly and conveniently as possible,” Secretary Doug Collins said.
“VA’s claims processing productivity is the highest it has ever been, and we look forward to continuing to provide record levels of service to Veterans and VA beneficiaries,” Collins stated.
Trump’s second term achievements include over 30 new VA health facilities, expanded care access, and housing 50,000 homeless veterans in FY 2025—highest in seven years.
“We’re not just talking about the American Dream; we’re making it more accessible for the heroes who defended it,” Collins posted on X.
