WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

  • President Joe Biden delivered a passionate speech on Tuesday condemning voter suppression and election subversion efforts by the Republicans.
  • Biden criticized former President Donald Trump and his allies for not accepting the results of the 2020 election.
  • Biden’s 20-minute speech failed to mention the Senate filibuster, drawing instant criticisms from progressives.

President Joe Biden delivered a passionate speech on Tuesday attacking voter suppression and election subversion efforts by the Republicans. He called for GOP lawmakers to step up amid such efforts and asked, “Have you no shame?”

Biden condemned the “big lie” of widespread fraud in the recent presidential election. He also criticized former President Donald Trump and his allies for not accepting the results of the 2020 election.

Speaking at Philadelphia’s National Constitution Center, the president said: “The big lie is just that: a big lie.”

He delivered a blunt message to Republicans: “Stand up, for God’s sake, and help prevent this concerted effort to undermine our elections and the sacred right to vote. Have you no shame? Whether it’s stopping foreign interference in our elections with the spread of disinformation from within, we have to work together.”

The president also emphasized the need to take immediate action to protect access to the ballot box, as Republicans across the country attempt to enact severe voting restrictions.

“Make no mistake, bullies and merchants of fear, peddlers of lies are threatening the very foundation of our country,” Biden warned.

But Biden did not address the biggest hurdle to passing national voting rights legislation: the Senate filibuster.

The president’s speech did not include a single mention of the filibuster, even as high-ranking Democrats, including House majority whip Jim Clyburn, call on him to endorse a voting rights exception to the filibuster. With the filibuster in place, Senate Republicans have been able to block Democrats’ two major voting rights bills, the John Lewis Voting Rights Act and the For the People Act.

Vice President Kamala Harris met with the Texas legislators who fled the state on Tuesday to block Republican voting restrictions. The Dems left Austin to break quorum on a special session, preventing Republicans from advancing their voting bill.

Speaking at a press conference on Capitol Hill this morning, Texas state representative Rafael Anchía said, “We are not going to buckle to the ‘big lie’ in the state of Texas.”

Never knew total “BS” could stack that high! I commend each and every state that has passed voter reform laws making it harder for fraud and EASIER to VOTE LEGALLY! Proof of identity is absolutely ESSENTIAL for FREE and FAIR elections! A must for confidence in our voting system!

If you tell a lie long enough, people will begin to believe it. That’s what Biden & Co. are doing and it is up to all honest and responsible people to resist this BS. If he legitimately won they would encourage every vote audit in order to not only prove victory, but also to prove Trump is whining about losing. But that isn’t, and won’t be happening.

Puddin – if ya tell a lie long enough and often enough – like slow joe has and does – you might begin to believe it yourself. Never mind of course that what the dems accuse everyone else of doing is what they are doing.

The “Big Lie” is that there was no vote manipulation in at least all of the states where the vote is being contested. The evidence has been video recorded, witnessed and testified to, and now the vote tallies don’t add up. And it definitely adds up to enough votes to change the outcome.

On the other hand, I think Biden should be left in office so he can “dangle in the wind” for the next three and one half years. Biden embodies the sheer and utter incompetence that the Democrats somehow expect us to accept from them. The more he ruins everything, the more he becomes the best advertisement possible for conservatives candidates and polices. We’re all watching very closely Joe!

So happy Biden and Harris will soon be in prison for their parts in the Voter Fraud of 2020 and Trump will be put back in office to fix all the damage the Democrats have done. Great the America will be Great Again thanks to Donald Trump, our True President. Good riddance felons Biden/Harris and their corrupt associates.
