Deadly Missile Strike Sparks Urgent Plea for Western Military Aid
Clear Facts
- Russia launched a significant missile attack on the Ukrainian city of Poltava, resulting in at least 41 deaths and 180 injuries.
- Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed the attack and called for immediate Western military aid, particularly air defense systems and long-range missiles.
- The strike coincides with Ukraine’s military operations in the Russian region of Kursk, aiming to disrupt Russian supply lines.
Russia has escalated its aggression against Ukraine with one of the deadliest missile strikes to date, targeting the city of Poltava. This brutal attack has resulted in at least 41 fatalities and left 180 others injured.
The city of Poltava, approximately 70 miles from the Russian border, became the latest victim of Russian missile fire. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed the details of the strike.
“One of the buildings of the Institute of Communications was partially destroyed. People found themselves under the rubble. Many were saved,” Zelenskyy stated in a video posted on social media.
“All necessary services are involved in the rescue operation,” he added, noting that he has ordered “a full and prompt investigation” into the incident.
The missile strike occurred shortly after the city’s air raid alert was sounded, catching many civilians on their way to bomb shelters. Ukraine’s Defense Ministry condemned the attack as “barbaric.”
Rescue operations were swift, with crews and medics managing to save 25 people, including 11 who were extracted from the rubble. Ukrainian officials are working tirelessly to provide aid to those affected.
Zelenskyy took this tragic opportunity to urge Western allies to expedite military support.
“Ukraine needs air defense systems and missiles now, not sitting in storage,” Zelenskyy emphasized on social media.
“Long-range strikes that can protect us from Russian terror are needed now, not later. Every day of delay, unfortunately, means more lost lives,” he added.
This devastating strike comes amidst Ukraine’s own military maneuvers in the Russian region of Kursk. Ukrainian forces have been active in the area for weeks, targeting bridges and crossings over the Seim River to disrupt Russian supply lines.
The ongoing conflict continues to escalate, with both sides showing no signs of backing down. As Ukraine presses for more substantial support from its Western allies, the international community watches closely, hoping for a resolution to this tragic war.

So the corrupt leader wants more money? What happen to the billions already given him? Oh, he spent millions on two yachts. No account shown where the money went. Corruption at its best.

It is unnerving that this conflict is still going on and Russia has not just crushed the Ukraine. In the past that is exactly what Russia would have done. There is something we are NOT being told and this would now escalate the conflict into West vs Russia. Careful, very careful consideration must be used at this point in time. O(ne has to consider what is this conflict diverting attention from on the world stage?.

We cannot cower and hide our heads in the sand while innocent civilians and free nations pay for our cowardice with their lives! This war would have ended this year if we had given them what they needed and allowed them to use them as needed… We did the same thing with the Nazis in 1939, and allowed some of humanities darkest days to pull Europe into chaos! Ukraine wants only its independence from Putin’s feeble dreams of Soviet Union influence and domination. Putin will continue his attempts to reforge the Soviet Empire, and we will likely end up being pulled into it by one of his puppets, much like we did at Pearl Harbor.. Zelensky is attempting to root out Russian corruption in Ukraine, but we condone far worse corruption within our own government.

Zelensky should then and not worry about Ukranian corruption. The USA should not give them one more dollar or bullet but put our dollars and effort to correcting our corruption, wherever it pops up its ugly head. Like whack a mole.

I left out “now”,
“should then and now not”
To many lives are lost! Zelensky is a dictator placed in power by corrupt British and USA corrupt officials. They are the true enemies, of Ukrainians, Russians and Americans. Pray for Trump and that he will have the wisdom to wake the sleeping giant!
