WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW!

  • Miami Beach has declared a state of emergency and instituted a curfew due to shootings and unruly crowds during Spring Break festivities.
  • The curfew will be in place for two periods, starting from Sunday and Thursday respectively, until Monday, March 27.
  • A fatal shooting occurred on Friday night, leading to one death and several injuries.

Miami Beach has announced a state of emergency and imposed a curfew in response to a series of shootings and large crowds during Spring Break celebrations. Starting from Sunday, revelers are prohibited from being outdoors between 11.59pm and 6am Monday, with a similar curfew planned from Thursday to Monday, March 27.

The affected area encompasses Miami Beach from 23rd Street and Dade Boulevard in the north to Government Cut in the south, Biscayne Bay in the west, and the Atlantic Ocean in the east.

The move follows a fatal shooting that occurred on Friday night, which left one man dead and another injured. The incident took place on Ocean Drive, where Spring Breakers had gathered to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day.

The shooting was initially believed to be an isolated event, with police claiming that the week had been peaceful up to that point. However, more than 100 revelers returned to the scene of the crime on Saturday, despite the absence of a curfew.

Police made an arrest in connection with the shooting, and the suspect was reportedly cooperating with the investigation. Four guns were recovered from the scene, and the police have not released the identities of those involved. Despite the tragedy, some Spring Breakers remain undeterred, with one reveler stating that “y’all have to chill with that shooting stuff.” Others, however, are concerned about the possibility of further violence.

Miami Beach officials have been grappling with Spring Break crowds for years, with last year’s curfew following two shootings on Ocean Drive. In 2019, there were about 1,000 arrests and numerous guns confiscated during rowdy celebrations, prompting officials to take measures to quell the situation.

Are these the same students whom Biden wants to forgive school loans for because they can’t afford to pay them and then make taxpayers to pay for them instead?

For sure and for certain, in other words, YUP.
Can’t afford to pay their loans, but can afford to come to FL at the most expensive time of the year. Irresponsible.

Girls wearing underwear. Boys flexing wannabe muscles. The insecurity on display is painful. Add alcohol and stir…..it up. This is a sad statement showing where our society is at, the Internet has produced a generation of lost souls gazing at their navels, aimlessly drifting for something, anything. It’s so very disheartening.
When are the locals going to disincentivize this annual debacle to begin to scrub the stigma from their tarnished communities. Are the economic returns worth the continued embarrassment of bad publicity? Hotels, alcohol, weed, condoms…for what?

To all the parents who have and continue to say NO to your kids, thank you and keep up the good work. There are 100s of alternatives to visiting this adolescent asylum. Grown ups…you can do better.

The ones committing the violence, thefts and vandalism are not college students on Spring Break. They are gang bangers from the big NE cities that go to Florida to sell drugs, screw white chicks and create mayhem. It’s considered their ‘vacation time’. You can take the bunny out of the jungle, but you can’t take the jungle out of the bunny.

I think it would be interesting to compare the 1960’s to this generation. In particular, the status of the “Draft”.
Drafting individuals who did not go to college were eligible for the draft. The Government knew who the individuals where by the registration and school records. How many of the individuals “partying” at the beaches are attending college?
The Draft, like it or not, broke up the gangs & were able to monitor individuals through military testing. The testing would alert the Military of an individuals capabilities or problems and what schools or training they were qualified for. This type of testing individuals should be nationwide NOW!
I served in the Army in Viet Nam, received my draft notice & I signed up for an additional year for training & met many individuals who were proud that they could learn a trade in the military, not just warriors. Although many of us did end up in being stationed to areas where there was more action.
I had read that the draft educated & trained enough individuals that the draft enabled individuals to be responsible employees and more than paid back the government for the cost of the Draft. They learned a trade and were proud of their abilities. They paid taxes every year and that more than covered the cost of the system.

The draft for a money war is disgusting and morally corrupt, there was no benefit to the draft, just sacrifice of innocent lives to feed the rich! You my warrior are a victim.
