  • Rep. Pat Fallon and Secret Service Acting Director Ronald Rowe engaged in a heated exchange during a hearing on assassination attempts against President-elect Donald Trump.
  • The argument centered around a perceived security lapse at a September 11 memorial service, where Fallon questioned Rowe’s proximity to the President.
  • The confrontation escalated with accusations of political exploitation of 9/11 and claims of endangering the lives of President Biden and Vice President Harris.

In a fiery exchange that captured the attention of the House’s bipartisan task force, Texas Representative Pat Fallon clashed with Secret Service Acting Director Ronald Rowe. The confrontation took place during a hearing focused on the two assassination attempts targeting President-elect Donald Trump. The tension arose when Fallon insinuated that there was a security oversight during a September 11 memorial service.

The hearing, which was the final session of the task force’s investigation, saw Fallon presenting a photograph of President Joe Biden and Trump at Ground Zero in New York City. Fallon questioned Rowe’s positioning at the event, suggesting that he should have been closer to the President for security reasons.

“Who is usually at an event like this closest to the President of the United States?” Fallon inquired, pointing to the photo. He pressed further, asking, “Were you the special agent in charge [SAC] of the detail that day?”

Rowe responded, attempting to clarify the situation.
“Actually, let me address this. … Congressman, what you’re not seeing is the SAC of detail falls out of the picture’s view,” Rowe explained, before the situation escalated.

The acting director continued, “That is the day where we remember more than 3,000 people that have died on 9/11. I actually responded to Ground Zero. I was there going through the ashes of the World Trade Center,” but was abruptly interrupted by Fallon.

“I’m not asking that, I’m asking you, if you were … were you the special agent in charge?” Fallon shouted, his frustration evident.

Rowe, equally impassioned, replied, “I was there, Congressman! I was there to show respect for a Secret Service member that died on 9/11!”

As the shouting match intensified, the committee chairman intervened, banging the gavel in an attempt to restore order. Rowe accused Fallon of exploiting 9/11 for political purposes, exclaiming, “Do not invoke 9/11 for political purposes!”

Fallon retorted, “You are, sir. You are out of line, congressman! Way out of line,” to which Rowe countered, “Don’t try to bully me.”

The heated discussion continued with Fallon accusing Rowe of “endangering” the lives of Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris by allegedly misplacing agents. Rowe firmly denied the accusation, stating, “No, I didn’t sir, and you are out of line,” before the floor was passed to Rep. Jared Moskowitz.

The hearing also referenced an interim report from October, which highlighted “stunning security failures” during a July assassination attempt on Trump at a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. The report concluded that the failures were “preventable and should not have happened.”

Just the manner in which Rowe responded exposed his guilt. He sat before Congress before and acted exactly in the same arrogant, condescending manner. Rowe is a “hot head”. He is typical of the high level people in the USSS as well as the FBI and CIA. A massive “house cleaning” is needed as of yesterday. Rowe will never give a straight and truthful answer becaause he has been caught lying time and tims again. I would fire him and revoke all of the benefits he has accumulated.
