Trump Claims “Illegal Leaks” from Manhattan DA’s Office Ahead of Potential Arrest [Video]

Republican leaders are requesting testimony from Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg regarding what they claim is a politically motivated prosecution of former President Donald Trump. The potential offense in this case is falsifying business records, a misdemeanor, which can be upgraded to a Class E felony if prosecutors can prove it was done to conceal or commit a second crime, in this case a campaign-finance violation.
Prosecutors could argue that the hush-money payment effectively became an illegal donation to Trump’s campaign under the theory that his candidacy benefited from Daniels’ silence.
Trump has claimed “illegal leaks” from the Manhattan DA’s office have led him to believe he will be arrested on Tuesday in connection with the hush-money payment. He has also called for protests to take place. GOP officials have criticized the looming prosecution, claiming that it is a fishing expedition which relies on a legal theory that “appears to be tenuous and untested.”
Republican leaders, including House Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan, Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer, and House Administration Committee Chairman Bryan Steil, have signed a letter to Bragg claiming that the statute of limitations explained the “rush to judgment” and that the campaign-finance violation was one the Department of Justice had already declined to prosecute.
The trio claimed that Michael Cohen, Trump’s former personal attorney and “fixer,” has no credibility as a lead witness and that Bragg has pursued this case despite internal dissension within the DA’s office.
They also zeroed in on Trump’s presidential candidacy as a possible motivating factor for the prosecution. Trump himself posted in all caps on Truth Social, saying, “Alvin Bragg should be held accountable for the crime of ‘interference in a presidential election.’”
Bragg responded internally to the increased pressure on his office, saying in a memo to staff obtained by Politico, “We do not tolerate attempts to intimidate our office or threaten the rule of law in New York.” The New York investigation into Trump looks to be at a point of culmination.
Cohen testified last Monday, and Daniels met with prosecutors Wednesday, though she did not testify in front of the grand jury herself. Trump was also offered the opportunity to testify, a move which indicates an indictment is near.

There is no way you can prove the payment was from campaign finance and that Trump benefitted from the silence. The signed NDA also proves the opposite. Also Cohen supposedly paid Daniels and Trump paid him back. Cohen is on the hook for jail time and will say anything to get offf.

Daniels is someone who probably was using the fact that Trump was rich and running for office to get some money from him. Cohen may have paid her and Trump didn’t even know about it until he was told and he gave Cohen his money back. That doen’t mean he told Cohen to pay her. He was just refunded Cohen’s money. That happens quite often with rich people.Someone is always trying to find ways to get money from them. It could have been made up by the Democrat party also to help them defeat Trump in the election, and luckily it didn’t work.

It is clear Alvin Bragg is Soros’ boy. Bragg is the one that should be arrested for not doing his job fighting the real crime in Manhattan NY. Instead, he wants to go after a political opponent staged by the Biden regime. Biden must be running around scared to his bones. Let’s find all the skeletons in Bragg’s closet. What I don’t understand is why the Manhattan people don’t say enough is enough.

The leaks may be illegal, and they are intentional. No different than James Comey’s leaks former Director of the FBI.
