These alterations seem to reflect a specific narrative, suggesting Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito, who flew the Revolutionary War-Era Flag, should recuse himself from cases involving former President Donald Trump.

This conduct echoes the dystopian novel “1984,” where truth is systematically rewritten to match the political agenda of the ruling party. The Pine Tree Flag page has been modified an astonishing 150 times since May 22nd.

A flurry of changes followed a recent article that speculated the flag, which was seen at the Capitol riot on January 6, 2021, has now become an emblem representing support for former President Donald J. Trump. It also hinted at connections to the ‘Stop the Steal’ campaign and a movement to reshape the American government along Christian lines.

The page also indicates that Justice Alito flew the flag at his New Jersey home in 2023, which drew criticism due to its presence at past far-right events, despite its historical lack of association with the far-right.

The last edit appears to have erased any remaining references to the flag’s “Popular Culture” appearances, leaving the impartiality of the information presented on the Pine Tree Flag’s Wikipedia page in question.
