DC Mayor Bowser renews plea for National Guard help with migrant ‘crisis’

- Washington DC Mayor Muriel Bowser renewed her plea for the National Guard to mobilize in an effort to deal with the migrant ‘crisis.’
- Hundreds of migrants are being bused to DC by fed-up officials from southern states.
- Pentagon denied Bowser’s initial plea for help with the mass arrivals.
Mayor Muriel Bowser has made a formal plea to get National Guard help for the “critical” flood of migrants being bused to Washington DC by Arizona and Texas officials. The Pentagon refused her initial plea for help with the arrivals.
On Thursday, Bowser again asked for support from Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin, nearly a week after the denial. Mass arrivals of border-crossers are also being reported in New York City.
The DC mayor renewed her bid “to help prevent a prolonged humanitarian crisis in our nation’s capital resulting from the daily arrival of migrants in need of assistance”
“We need help from our federal partners as we seek to stabilize and manage our operating environment in this critical moment,” she wrote in the letter.
Bowser also said that she is calling on President Joe Biden to give the migrants special treatment similar to war refugees.
“We, likewise, encourage the federal government, as I have expressed to White House officials, to help asylum seekers in ways similar to systems set up for Afghan and Ukrainian refugees,” she wrote.
The Democratic mayor initially asked for help on July 19 after more than 4,000 had been sent out on buses from fed-up border states.
Texas Gov. Greg Abbott has also started sending migrants to the Big Apple. He told NYC Mayor Eric Adams that he will continue sending border-crossers until the Biden administration changes its immigration policies.
Bowser asked the Pentagon desperately to send guards by Monday to help for at least 90 days. She previously said that most of the migrants stay in DC for only 72 hours “before moving to their final destination.”
Bowser wrote that the guards would specifically cover “urgent staffing and logistical challenges” by assisting in “facility management, feeding, sanitation and ground support.”
The mayor also requested to utilize “the DC Armory or another federal site to serve as a respite center”
“As Mayor since 2015, I’ve requested DC National Guard support nearly 50 times — to support our COVID-19 response, major events and severe weather,” Bowser wrote.
She reminded Lloyd that all her “operational, apolitical requests have been granted.”
Bowers sharedthe letter online,writing, “I have been honored to work with the men and women of the DC National Guard many times and today we renewed our request for their assistance.”

What do people expect to happen when hundreds of thousands of Poverty Stricken people (that by definition) INVADED THIS COUNTRY after the VP TOLD THEM “DO NOT COME” HERE and the dude anyway ? That’s correct, we can start a new program called adopt an alien. You want one or more you legally adopt them and care for them with no assistance. We kill our own children and do not provide money for people to adopt but bring in other people and provide for them, talk about having your priorities screwed up.

Oh, wait: NYC’s Mayor is complaining about the “flood” of illegals pouring into his city, all 4000 in six months (versus 1 million+ in Texas in 6 months). These political hacks think open borders are great, as long as the criminals stay in Texas and Arizona.

What should happen immediately after the illegals are in custody is: Put them on a bus and immediately deport them to their country of origin. If they want to come to our country they should do it the legal way. They should in no way receive special treatment and the ability to stay in the country unsupervised until their court date, like the current administration is doing.

What did the Mayor think? The West and Southwest have been inundated with streams of illegal immigrants and are choking from the overpopulation. So, why not let the very people who created this mess enjoy the immigrants too? I think busing them to DC is an inspired idea to give our government a taste of what those along the border are living with daily. How do you like it, Ms Mayor? Oh, not so enamored with the immigrants now that they’re right on your doorstep? Send for the National Guard!

They are invaders. Treat them as such. Give fair warnings to the countries they come from. Then use our National Guard and Active Duty Military ( All branches) to shoot the invaders. See what happens to the flow of illegal immigrants.
Round up ALL illegal immigrants in our Nation and give them the choice. Go back to their country or be executed as invaders/ spies.

i find it funny that the tdc mayor crying ab out 4000 of these immigrants. how d othey think tx and arizona and new mexico feel they have bee dealing with over 100000 a month for last 18 months. They are crying wolf over ca few thousand. dont give them any help just like biden admin not giving to border states. Why should they get special considerations when their party wanted them here, you get what you ask for. I think biden home state of delaware should be cnext stop for these buses.
