Kevin Bacon’s Lost Shipment Stuck in FedEx Loop Exposes Delivery Failures

Clear Facts
- Kevin Bacon shipped clothing from New York to Ireland on September 26 and the package has been rerouted across multiple countries without reaching its destination.
- The package traveled through Memphis, France, Germany, Israel, England, and Ireland over several weeks, with FedEx unable to complete delivery despite being in Ireland for five days.
- Bacon described the contents as old boots, jeans, and hats with sentimental value from the 1990s, and he has been unable to reach a FedEx representative by phone.
Kevin Bacon, 68, posted a video message to his followers while filming in Ireland, explaining that he shipped clothing ahead to avoid packing heavy luggage. He chose to send older items he has owned since the 1990s rather than buy new ones.
The actor described how the package left New York and reached Memphis before being sent overseas. Instead of arriving in Ireland, it was routed to Israel, then bounced between France, Germany, and Israel multiple times over the following weeks.
“Hey everybody, it’s me. I’m over here, I’m working in Ireland,” Bacon told his followers. “I wanted to pack light, so I decided to ship some old clothes over here to Ireland. I don’t buy a lot of clothes. I’ve had these clothes probably since the ’90s.”
The package eventually reached England on October 11 before finally arriving in Ireland, where it has remained undelivered. Bacon stated he could not get a person on the phone and has received no explanation for the repeated routing errors.
“I don’t understand why. It’s just sitting there,” he said. “I can’t get a person the phone. I have not been able to talk to anybody. I know what you’re thinking: Just go buy some more clothes.”
Bacon expressed frustration that the company seemed unwilling to deliver items that hold personal value to him. He noted that the package contains old boots, jeans, and hats he has kept for decades.
“And you’re right. I could buy some clothes, but I want these clothes. I’ve had them since the ’90s. These are like … they have a certain sentimental value.”
The actor added that cold weather is arriving in Ireland, making the lack of delivery more inconvenient. FedEx has since apologized for the error and said it is working directly with Bacon’s team to resolve the issue.
