Mick Mulvaney named 3 people who could beat Trump in 2024 GOP primary

- The former acting White House chief of staff named Gov. Ron DeSantis, Sen. Tim Scott, and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson as serious Trump challengers.
- “It’s a short list,” Mulvaney said.
Mick Mulvaney believes there are only three people who could seriously challenge former President Donald Trump in a 2024 GOP primary. The former acting White House chief of staff noted that “It’s a short list.”
“[Florida Gov. Ron] DeSantis could give him a run for his money. [South Carolina Sen.] Tim Scott can give him a run for his money. Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson could give him a run for his money,” Mulvaney told Politico.
Mulvaney served as acting White House chief of staff and Director of the Office of Budget and Management under the Trump administration from January 2019 to March 2020. He was also serving as a South Carolina representative at the time.
“By the way, there’s one other person who could beat him — which is himself,” Mulvaney added. “Donald Trump is sometimes his own worst enemy when it comes to campaigning.”
Mulvaney was replaced as WH chief of staff by Mark Meadows after he took a diplomatic post as special envoy to Northern Ireland. He resigned in protest after the January 6 US Capitol insurrection. He now works as a political contributor with CBS News ahead of the 2022 midterms.
Trump has repeatedly hinted at a 2024 presidential run but has not made an official announcement.
“I don’t want to comment on running, but I think a lot of people are going to be very happy by my decision,” Trump told the Washington Post in a recent interview. “Because it’s a little boring now.”
Trump said he believes that other possible 2024 presidential contenders would step aside if he decided to run for reelection.
Trump takes credit for DeSantis’ political success, saying, “As soon as I endorsed him, the [2018 gubernatorial] race was over.”
Scott, like DeSantis, is also a rising star in the party. He has expressed interest as Trump’s potential running mate in 2024. “I think everybody wants to be on President Trump’s bandwagon, without any question,” Scott said in February.
Meanwhile, actor The Rock has floated the idea of running for president, saying his “goal to unite our country,” would be ultimately up to the American people.
“Not sure our Founding Fathers ever envisioned a six-four, bald, tattooed, half-Black, half-Samoan, tequila drinking, pick up truck driving, fanny pack wearing guy joining their club,” he tweeted in April 2021. “But if it ever happens it’d be my honor to serve the people.”

Gwyllim: Quite right, but the Bigger Question is whether (in 2024 General) can he beat another DominionDem set-up? ‘They’ have had 4 years to innovate New Scams, New Voters, and Common-Core-Counting.

I will never vote for another Celebrity. I may check his box against an opponent who is unacceptable, ie: Joe biden or Hillery, but never for someone who makes their way by entertaining others!!!

Trump is a tough-as-nails, get-things-done problem solver…that’s why we voted for him…to clean up Oblamer’s total screw-job on America. That he happened to be on a TV show had nothing to do with it.

It will be Ron DeSantis. DeSantis doesn’t have any questionable baggage in his closet. Not like Trump. Trump isn’t squeaky clean, and as Trump claims, no Trump isn’t the most honest president. America doesn’t need a musclebound actor fort president, name recognition or not, the rock is unqualified. Tim Scott would be questionable after America’s bad experience with Hussein Obama.

As good as DeSantis is, he has not been through the fire as much as Trump has. He’s been great but nobody in modern history has been through as much as Trump, and right now, we need someone tough as nails, someone who won’t give in to the relentless socialistic, America hating media.

As much as Trump tried to help the American people, hate filled liberals blocked him every time he turned around! The liberals are a party for the party, they don’t give a damn about the people. They believe in double standards, election tampering as long as it’s in their favor.
Definitely not another liberal democratic candidate, they have tried to tear apart our Republic with all their hate, race and gender pushing, when what they should be promoting is every one is equal! We definitely need someone qualified that takes the oath of office seriously, believes in our Constitution and is strong enough to protect our Republic and it’s people one and all.
NOT elect someone just because it’s a “black woman”! A qualified women (black, yellow, red, brown, white- -who cares) ok, with qualified being important (Hillary-Kamala-Warren-MicheleObama- all unqualified & wrong political party)

Have you felt the undertow yet ? There are hundred-thousands of pro-Trump who felt where his heart is. He showed
it, in what he accomplished for the people in just four years despite the opposition and fear of him from his opponents. Unparalleled by no president that has ever sat in the WH ! My family was not for him at first, but he kept all his campaign
promises. Promises made, promises kept and accomplished ! Of course, we were quiet…. what with all the mainstream media’s false accusations. But those who Trump convinced by his accomplishments, no matter how he tweeted, became
loyal followers. Heck, whatever his mouth and personality was, nothing to the genuine caring he had for the everyday common man. We recognized that he was a Construction boss…. he finishes what he starts! And he cared for his men.
There is quite a disdain for career politicians who gave deaf-tone ears to what the people want, and only protected their own power, and anticipation for the big “MONEY” god. Why do you think Congress has the lowest poll level of approval, huh? And for decades of years? “The government is of the people, for the people”, and not for politicians ! We trusted
you when we elected you, and somehow always prayed you would listen. We want term limits for all politicians! Because
we know now, that when being in politics too long, they get influenced by corrupt and selfish sectors of our country.

that our voting system must be according to our Constitution, not politically promoted by those who want to stay in
