Eskridge co-founded The Institute for Exotic Science to explore unconventional propulsion theories. Before her passing, she publicly expressed fear that her sensitive research had made her a target for aggressive surveillance and physical stalking.
“I’m scared, I’m tired. I need to disclose soon, man. I need to publish soon because it’s like escalating.”

“This has been going on for like four or five years, and over the past 12 months it’s been escalating, like more aggressive, more invasive digging through my underwear drawer and sexual threats,” Eskridge said.
Eskridge claimed that an operational group targeted her with psychological intimidation, including suspicious vehicles and individuals moving into nearby apartments to monitor her movements. She specifically cited an incident where a man allegedly swapped license plates on a vehicle in front of her as a form of harassment.
Other missing researchers include government contractor Steven Garcia, who vanished in 2025 after leaving his home without his phone or wallet. While officials have not linked these cases, the pattern of disappearances within the scientific community has prompted calls for a deeper look into potential security threats.
Rep. Tim Burchett stated that certain missing persons cases across the country share concerning similarities. He believes lawmakers must take closer notice of these incidents to ensure the safety of American researchers working on sensitive technology.
