• The remarks came during the Thursday broadcast of The Last Word.

Representative Jamie Raskin delivered a pointed attack on both Elon Musk and the Trump administration during his appearance on MS NOW. The Maryland Democrat framed the administration as hostile to immigration while singling out the South African-born entrepreneur for failing to adopt American principles.

Raskin described Musk as someone who arrived in the United States but never embraced the nation’s core values. His comments positioned the tech executive as an outsider despite Musk’s legal immigration and decades of contribution to American industry.

The congressman’s remarks come amid ongoing national debate over legal immigration policy and the role of high-skilled foreign workers in the economy. Raskin did not address Musk’s documented legal immigration process or his substantial business investments in the United States.
