  • President Trump accused Barack Obama of revealing classified information about aliens.
  • Obama made comments about aliens during a podcast appearance and later clarified his remarks on social media.
  • Interest in unidentified aerial phenomena has grown, prompting congressional action and a new Defense Department office.

President Trump stated that Barack Obama made a big mistake by discussing the possibility of aliens being real, suggesting Obama disclosed protected information.

“He gave classified information. He’s not supposed to be doing that,” Trump said.

Obama spoke on a podcast and denied knowledge of secret bases at Area 51.

“They’re real, but I haven’t seen them,” he said.

He further dismissed any conspiracy, adding there is no secret facility.

“Unless there’s this enormous conspiracy and they hid it from the president of the United States.”

On Instagram, Obama clarified.

“Statistically, the universe is so vast that the odds are good there’s life out there. But the distances between solar systems are so great that the chances we’ve been visited by aliens are low, and I saw no evidence during my presidency that extraterrestrials have made contact with us.”

“Really!”

When asked about his first question as president, Obama joked.

“Uh, where are the aliens?”

During a previous TV interview, Obama confirmed he checked reports about secret alien labs and was told none existed but acknowledged the government continues to investigate unexplained aerial phenomena.

“There is footage and records of objects in the skies that we don’t know exactly what they are,” Obama said.

“We can’t explain how they moved, their trajectory. They did not have an easily explainable pattern.”

“I think people still take seriously trying to investigate and figure out what that is.”

President Biden, when questioned about Obama’s remarks, said.

“I would ask (Obama) again.”

Increased sightings and reporting of unidentified aerial phenomena have led Congress to pass new disclosure requirements and the creation of a Pentagon office focused on these investigations.
