Two Bud Light Execs Take Leave of Absence After Sales Plunge

Published

on

  • Bud Light faced backlash after partnering with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney as part of their March Madness event.
  • Alissa Heinerscheid, Bud Light’s vice president of marketing, received criticism and attacks from customers, leading to her taking a leave of absence.
  • Daniel Blake, who runs marketing for Anheuser-Busch’s brands, also took a leave of absence.
  • The controversy led to Anheuser-Busch backtracking their support for the campaign, with CEO Brendan Whitworth issuing a statement that appeared apologetic about including Mulvaney.

Anheuser-Busch initially defended their decision to partner with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney. However, after mounting pressure from customers and other influencers the company backtracked and apologized.

This move is likely to please critics of the campaign, but may alienate supporters of LGBTQ+ rights who are looking for more visibility and inclusion in mainstream marketing. Anheuser-Busch have put themselves in quite the pickle.

Clear Thoughts:

Bud Light has really stepped in it when it comes to insulting their customers intelligence.

I think Joe Rogan said it best:

While the language may be offensive, at least Joe Rogan is being REAL. Which is more than we can say about Bud Light.

It doesn’t matter what a/b says from now on. They took a stand with evil against women and the innocence of children. There is no tolerance for evil one either stands with satan or against him. A/b was willing to sell their soul for sales so live with it.

The Lbgtq or whatever it is are not the majority of Americans. Why can’t they be content to live their lives without forcing their convoluted beliefs on everyone?
