The 19-year-old posted an Instagram update from her hospital bed announcing the successful procedure, showing her left arm in a cast and sling.
“While I had hoped to avoid surgery, after talks with my family, coaches and athletic training staff, I know I made the best decision for my long-term health and my future in the game I love,” she said.
“It’s certainly not how I envisioned the next few months, but sometimes the journey takes an unexpected turn, and I’m choosing to embrace this one with patience, and a whole lot of determination.”
The young athlete noted that recovery will take time but emphasized her gratitude for the strong support around her.
“Having the right people by your side makes all the difference, and I couldn’t be more grateful,” she added.
Trump specifically thanked Dr. Carlson and the team at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York for their care.

“For now, it’s all about healing, and trusting the process. I can’t wait to be back with my team, doing what I love. I’ll be back before you know it, stronger and more grateful than ever! Go Canes!”
In a July appearance on Fox & Friends, Kai Trump revealed she had previously undergone wrist surgery six months earlier.
She acknowledged feeling nervous about starting her freshman year and Division 1 golf career at the University of Miami while remaining close to her family.
When asked about her competitive drive, Trump credited both her mother and President Trump as key influences.
